How to Add Background Music Between Videos in a LiveReacting Stream

Add a LiveReacting Audio Playlist layer for music between videos, configure its playback options, and verify your music license before going live.

To play music between videos in a LiveReacting stream, add an Audio Playlist layer in LiveReacting Studio, add and order your tracks, then set its looping and volume options. Keep your videos in a separate Video Playlist layer. Before broadcasting to YouTube, confirm that your music license permits live-stream use; tracks available for regular videos are not automatically cleared for livestreams.

Add an Audio Playlist layer

  1. In LiveReacting Studio, click New Layer in the sidebar.
  2. Choose Audio, then Audio Playlist. The file manager opens so you can select available audio files. If you need the full setup walkthrough, see LiveReacting’s help center.
  3. Click Add audio files and select the tracks. They are added in the order selected.

For the component’s current controls and behavior, consult LiveReacting’s Audio Playlists Component documentation.

Order tracks and set playback options

Arrange the playlist

Drag the handle beside a track to move it. Use the sidebar controls to play a track, rename it, or remove it.

Choose whether the music repeats

Turn on Play in loop to start the playlist again after its final track. Turn it off to stop playback when the playlist ends. LiveReacting’s component documentation says looping is enabled by default.

Elebase USB to USB C Adapter for iPhone 18 Pro Max,USBC Car Charger Adapter
  • Read Before You Buy — No Video Output: These adapters support charging and USB 2.0 data transfer, but cannot transmit video signals. Except for standard USB webcams (which use USB data only), they are not compatible with HDMI/DisplayPort cables, video-capable USB-C hubs, or docking stations with video output.
  • Convert USB-A Ports to USB-C: Designed to connect USB-C earphones, cables, flash drives, card readers, and other USB-C accessories to standard USB-A ports. Plug-and-play with no drivers or software required.
  • Aluminum Alloy Housing: Built with a sturdy aluminum alloy shell that aids in heat dissipation and protects against daily wear and scratches. Designed to maintain a stable and secure connection.
  • Compact & Travel-Friendly: The ultra-compact design allows the adapter to stay plugged into your device without blocking adjacent ports or adding bulk, reducing wear and tear on your original USB ports.
  • 12-Month Warranty: Backed by a 12-month manufacturer warranty for peace of mind. Designed to meet strict quality control standards for reliable everyday performance.

Adjust volume and track display

Set the playlist volume in the sidebar. The documented scale runs from 0 to 10, defaults to 6, and increasing the volume above zero unmutes the layer. You can also show the current track name, progress bar, or cover image; the track-name style can be customized.

Keep videos and music in separate layers

Use a Video Playlist layer to queue videos in playback order; that component can loop the video playlist or switch to another scene when it ends. The Audio Playlist plays music tracks back-to-back. LiveReacting’s documentation says a scene can contain only one audio source at a time, so you cannot add an Audio Playlist to a scene that already has an Audio File or another Audio Playlist layer. If you need the music playlist in multiple scenes, pin its layer so it appears in each one. See the official Video Playlists Component documentation and LiveReacting’s guide, How to add an Audio Playlist into a stream?.

Check music rights before going live on YouTube

Permission to use a track in an ordinary video does not necessarily include live-stream use, monetization, every territory, or a stream replay. Check the license for the platform and the specific uses you plan, including any VOD or replay.

Creator Music is not cleared for livestreams

YouTube says Creator Music tracks are for long-form videos and cannot be used in live streams or Shorts. Its current help page says Creator Music is available to U.S. creators in the YouTube Partner Program, with expansion outside the U.S. pending. See YouTube’s Creator Music usage details.

Review Audio Library terms track by track

YouTube describes the music and sound effects in the YouTube Studio Audio Library as copyright-safe for YouTube. Some tracks require attribution under Creative Commons terms; check the attribution details provided with the track. YouTube also cautions that it cannot vouch for music from other libraries or channels. Read YouTube’s Audio Library guidance and verify that each track’s terms cover your livestream and any replay.

  • Confirm the license covers live streaming on your intended platform.
  • Check monetization, territory, and attribution requirements.
  • Check whether rights cover the stream replay or VOD as well.
  • Do not treat a general “royalty-free” label as proof that these uses are permitted.
