Random freezes, missing sound and display glitches usually trace back to one bad driver. Find and replace yours safely.Free scan · under a minuteTo keep songs from repeating until the playlist has played through, set the order and no-repeat rule in a music player or scheduler before the audio reaches YouTube. YouTube Live sends an encoder’s feed; its ordinary playlist loop repeats the playlist and is not a guarantee that each song plays once before any repeats. The setup is therefore two parts: manage track order upstream, then encode and send that continuous output to YouTube Live.
What “without repeating songs in order” requires
First decide what counts as a repeat: the same recording, an alternate version of a track, or the same composition. Then choose a playback or scheduling system that can enforce your intended rule. For example, a fixed sequence avoids repeats until it reaches its end; a shuffle-without-replacement rule can randomize the sequence while withholding each track until the current cycle is complete. Confirm the selected tool actually offers the behavior you need. YouTube’s official playlist and live-stream guidance does not establish a song-level deduplication setting.
The music player or scheduler determines what plays and when. An encoder takes the resulting audio and video feed and transmits it to YouTube Live. An encoder can keep the broadcast connected, but its presence does not prove that the playback queue avoids repeats.
Set up the playlist and YouTube Live stream
- Prepare the music library and queue. Use recordings you have the rights to stream. Organize them in the playback or scheduling tool, set the desired order or no-repeat behavior, and check how it handles the end of a cycle, alternate versions, unavailable files, and restarts. Do not assume a shuffle button means “shuffle without replacement.”
- Create or select an encoder stream in YouTube Studio. Open the Live Control Room and create or select an encoder-based stream. Copy the server URL and stream key into your encoder. Treat the stream key like a password: anyone who obtains it may be able to broadcast to your destination. YouTube’s encoder streaming guide describes the encoder workflow and supported options.
- Connect the playback output to the encoder. Route the player’s audio, and any accompanying visual, into your streaming software or hardware encoder. Verify that the actual output is the intended queue, rather than a separate player source that loops or shuffles differently.
- Set encoder parameters and test. Use YouTube’s live encoder settings guidance for supported protocols, codecs, frame rates, and bitrate recommendations. Choose settings appropriate to your source and stable upload bandwidth; do not select a bitrate your connection cannot sustain. Test privately or with an appropriate test setup, confirm audio is present and in sync, and monitor YouTube’s stream health before relying on a continuous broadcast.
- Check the queue behavior over a full cycle. A short test cannot establish that a long playlist avoids repeats. Observe or log track transitions through a complete cycle, including what happens after playback software or the encoder reconnects. Keep the ordering logic in the player or scheduler, where it can be inspected.
Choose a playback and broadcast path
You can run the playback software and encoder on a computer, or use an appropriate hardware or cloud encoder path. Choose based on whether it can run continuously, accept your audio/video feed, recover from interruptions, and expose a verifiable queue or no-repeat rule. YouTube identifies LiveU Solo among verified encoders and describes Gyre as a cloud-based option for 24/7 prerecorded-video streams, but those descriptions do not establish song-level deduplication. Verify any scheduler’s exact behavior independently before depending on it.

Copyright, live interruptions, and long-stream archiving
Make sure the music is cleared for the use
YouTube’s Livestream terms and conditions require the streamer to have the necessary rights for worldwide exploitation of the live content, including music licensing rights. That platform requirement does not determine which licenses a particular creator needs in every territory; check the rights that apply to your recordings and intended broadcast.
YouTube says live streams are scanned for third-party content. A match can trigger a warning, and if the content remains, the stream may be interrupted or terminated. If you have licensed third-party material, YouTube advises asking the rights owner to allowlist your channel through Content ID; a license alone may not prevent an interruption if the channel is not allowlisted. See YouTube’s guidance on live-streaming restrictions.

Do not rely on YouTube’s archive for a 24/7 copy
YouTube Help says streams under 12 hours can be automatically archived, while a stream that exceeds 12 hours may not be captured at all. A 24/7 broadcast exceeds that threshold, so keep a separate local recording if you need an archive. See YouTube’s live-stream archive guidance.
Troubleshooting repeat and connection problems
- A track repeats before the queue is complete: Check whether the player is in ordinary loop or shuffle mode rather than shuffle without replacement, whether duplicate files or alternate versions are in the library, and whether the scheduler’s rule matches your definition of a repeat.
- Playback starts over after a restart: Check the player’s resume behavior and saved queue state. A reconnecting encoder can restore the broadcast connection without restoring the player’s position or deduplication history.
- YouTube receives a blank or silent feed: Confirm that the correct playback source is routed to the encoder, that the encoder is connected to the intended stream, and that its audio meters respond during a test.
- The stream drops or health warnings appear: Check the upload connection and encoder settings against YouTube’s recommended settings. Test with a stable bitrate and monitor stream health; a computer-based setup also depends on the computer and its connection staying available.
- A live broadcast is interrupted by a copyright match: Review the match and rights status, and if you licensed the material, contact the owner about Content ID allowlisting. Do not assume that a license automatically prevents automated interruption.
- The live archive is missing or incomplete: A broadcast longer than 12 hours may not be captured by YouTube. Use a separate recording if preserving the full program matters.
Or let it run in the cloud
