For a self-managed YouTube playlist stream, choose a plan by its monthly transfer allowance and your encoder workload—not just its advertised port speed. If you would rather not administer a server, StreamNeo is the managed alternative to try first: it loops uploaded videos from the cloud, at any quality up to 4K 60fps for one flat price per slot, with the first day free.
Choose between managing a VPS and using a managed playlist service
A VPS gives you server control, but you must configure the encoder or relay, keep the process running, monitor failures, and verify that the provider’s traffic terms fit a continuous stream. A managed playlist service is a different category: it runs the workflow for prerecorded videos rather than giving you a general-purpose server.
For uploaded recordings or a playlist where avoiding server administration matters more than server control, StreamNeo is the first managed option to consider. Upload a video or build a playlist, add your YouTube stream key, and go live; it loops the uploaded content from the cloud. It streams to YouTube, not from a live camera.
Estimate monthly traffic before comparing plans
YouTube’s H.264 encoder recommendations include 8 Mbps for 720p30 or 720p60, 14 Mbps for 1080p30, and 17 Mbps for 1080p60. These are YouTube recommendations for encoder output, not VPS specifications. At a steady bitrate for 30 days, the approximate video payload is bitrate in Mbps × 324 GB: about 2.59 TB at 8 Mbps, 4.54 TB at 14 Mbps, and 5.51 TB at 17 Mbps. Actual transfer can be higher because of protocol overhead, audio, reconnects, and other server traffic, so leave headroom and check how the provider counts transfer.

- 12-Month Warranty: Backed by a 12-month manufacturer warranty for peace of mind. Designed to meet strict quality control standards for reliable everyday performance.
A network-port figure describes the connection rate available to the server; it does not tell you how much data the plan permits in a month. A 1 Gbps port does not make a 2 TB transfer allowance sufficient for a continuous 1080p stream.
| YouTube H.264 setting | Recommended bitrate | Approximate 30-day payload |
|---|---|---|
| 720p30 or 720p60 | 8 Mbps | 2.59 TB |
| 1080p30 | 14 Mbps | 4.54 TB |
| 1080p60 | 17 Mbps | 5.51 TB |
| 1440p30 | 21 Mbps | 6.80 TB |
| 1440p60 | 34 Mbps | 11.02 TB |
| 4K30 | 42 Mbps | 13.61 TB |
| 4K60 | 50 Mbps | 16.20 TB |
The approximate transfer figures assume an uninterrupted stream at the stated bitrate for 30 days and use decimal GB/TB; they are planning estimates, not provider billing measurements. YouTube’s recommended bitrate is not a requirement that every VPS plan meet in isolation: compare it with the actual outgoing stream and the provider’s monthly transfer cap.

Compare the listed Indian VPS offers cautiously
The following figures are plan claims reported by a secondary comparison dated October 3, 2026. They are not independently verified prices, performance results, or a tested ranking. In particular, confirm current availability, renewal pricing, taxes, traffic definitions, and terms directly with each provider before buying.
| Provider and reported location | Reported offer | What to check for a continuous stream |
|---|---|---|
| NivoHost | Plans reportedly start at ₹699/month, listing one stream handle, 360p at 10 fps, 4 GB RAM, 20 TB bandwidth, and a 1 Gbps port. Higher reported tiers: ₹1,799/month for two handles and 720p/30; ₹3,499/month for three handles and 1080p/60 with 32 GB RAM. | The source also reports a claimed 99% uptime figure, but this is not a measured result and may not be an SLA. Verify the SLA scope, stream workload included in a handle, transfer rules, and whether the advertised resolution/frame rate reflects a provider guarantee. |
| Endercloud, Mumbai | Reported from ₹999/month: 3 vCores, 8 GB RAM, 50 GB NVMe, 2 TB bandwidth, and a stated 1 Gbps network. | At the reported 2 TB allowance, the approximate 30-day payload at 8 Mbps alone is about 2.59 TB. Verify transfer terms and whether the plan suits your actual encoder workload before choosing it for uninterrupted streaming. |
| VyomCloud, Mumbai | Reported listings: ₹360/month for 1 vCPU, 2 GB RAM, 0.5 TB traffic, and 100 Mbps; ₹1,040/month for 2 vCPU, 4 GB RAM, 2 TB, and 250 Mbps; ₹1,600/month for 4 vCPU, 8 GB RAM, 5 TB, and 250 Mbps. | The reported 0.5 TB and 2 TB allowances are below the approximate 30-day payload for even an 8 Mbps continuous stream. The 5 TB listing is near the estimate for 1080p30 before overhead or headroom. Verify current traffic terms and test the intended workload. |
The secondary comparison attributes latency and uptime/SLA statements to VyomCloud, but they are provider statements rather than independently measured results. The available comparison explicitly does not establish a tested winner among these VPS providers.

Check the stream workload, not just CPU and RAM
A server that relays already encoded video may need less compute than one that decodes and transcodes video in real time, but the actual requirement depends on the software, codec, resolution, frame rate, and number of streams. Confirm whether the provider’s stream handle or plan permits your intended workflow; test the exact encoder or relay setup before relying on it for continuous broadcasting.
- Compare monthly transfer allowance against your calculated stream traffic, with a margin for overhead and recovery attempts.
- Check data-center location and network route to YouTube ingest; an advertised port speed does not establish route quality.
- Confirm how many concurrent streams are permitted and whether there are restrictions on sustained outbound video.
- Ask what restart, process monitoring, and recovery support is included, and what happens when YouTube disconnects the ingest.
- Check support availability, billing period, renewal price, taxes, refund terms, and whether any uptime promise is an SLA that applies to your workload.
Use YouTube-compatible ingest settings
YouTube lists RTMP/RTMPS ingest; H.264, H.265/HEVC, or AV1 video; up to 60 fps; AAC or MP3 audio; constant bitrate (CBR); and a recommended two-second keyframe interval that must not exceed four seconds. YouTube recommends RTMPS, which it describes as RTMP over TLS/SSL. Obtain the RTMPS server URL and stream key through YouTube Live Control Room, and treat the stream key as a password: do not publish it or put it in public logs.

Set the output bitrate to the chosen resolution and frame rate, then make sure it fits both YouTube’s recommendation and the VPS transfer budget. If the playlist contains material in different formats, verify how the chosen encoder handles transitions, audio continuity, and reconnects; a plan’s advertised resolution alone does not confirm that your specific stream will run reliably.

The National Informatics Centre webcast page describes a distinct public-sector workflow: for hired feeds, it calls for outbound access on RTMP port 1935 and dedicated 2–4 Mbps per stream. That is NIC’s stated requirement for that webcast context, not a YouTube bitrate recommendation; do not use it to size a YouTube Live stream.
