What Collab Cam does on mobile
Streamlabs documents Collab Cam for its iOS and Android mobile apps. The host adds a guest to a scene, shares a generated invite link, and can adjust the guest’s position and audio or camera settings. On Android, a scene can also include the phone’s front or back camera as an additional camera layer. Streamlabs describes the mobile feature as free. These steps are for a remote guest or an extra phone-camera angle in a Streamlabs Mobile broadcast. They do not establish support for particular external cameras or peripherals.
Set up Collab Cam on iPhone or iPad
- Open Scenes. Tap the hamburger menu in the upper-left corner, then tap Scenes and Create New Scene.
- Name the scene and choose a layout. Select a premade layout or make a custom one. The Streamlabs walkthrough uses a blank custom layout.
- Add a guest layer. Open Layers, tap the plus button, choose Add a Guest, enter the guest’s name, and save.
- Send the invite. Share the guest join link. The guest selects their preferences when prompted and taps the green Join button.
- Arrange and configure the guest. In the scene editor, position the guest video. Tap the gear icon to access guest audio and camera settings, copy the link, or generate a new link.
- Check the scene and go live. Tap Preview to check the guest camera. Return to the app’s home screen and start your stream when ready. You can also add a guest once the stream is already underway.
Set up Collab Cam on Android
- Open or create a scene. Open the main menu and tap Scenes, then Create a New Scene. If Scenes is not shown, tap Go to Advanced Settings, tap Continue, and create a scene there.
- Choose a layout. Name the scene and select a premade or custom layout.
- Add a guest or camera layer. Open Layers and tap Add layer. Choose Add a Guest to invite someone, or Add a Camera to use the phone’s front or back camera as another angle.
- Save and position the layer. For a guest, enter a name and tap Add. Save the camera settings; the feed appears among the scene layers. Adjust its size and placement in the scene.
- Configure and invite a guest. Tap the guest’s camera layer, open Settings with the gear icon, and adjust audio or camera options. Copy the invite link or generate a new one to share.
Can a guest join after you go live?
Yes. Streamlabs’ mobile guide says a guest can join before the broadcast begins or while it is already in progress. For a guest joining mid-stream, create or select the guest layer and share its join link; check the feed and its placement in the scene once the guest connects.

Mobile requirements and guest limits
The mobile guide covers iOS and Android but does not specify minimum operating-system versions, a device compatibility list, bandwidth thresholds, supported external peripherals, or a mobile guest-count cap. Troubleshooting common setup problems
- Scenes is missing on Android: Open the main menu, choose Go to Advanced Settings, tap Continue, then create a scene.
- The guest cannot join: Confirm you shared the guest join link and that the guest tapped Join after choosing their preferences. If needed, use the guest settings to copy the link again or generate a new one.
- The guest feed is in the wrong place: Open the scene editor and adjust the guest layer’s position or size. On iOS, use Preview to check the camera before starting the stream.
- You need another camera angle on Android: In the scene’s Layers, tap Add layer and select Add a Camera to use the phone’s front or back camera.
