Windows Errors? Fix Them Before They Spread

One free scan finds every outdated or missing driver and matches the right update for your exact hardware.Free scan · exact hardware matchTo stream a playlist over Airtel Xstream Fiber, use a computer running OBS Studio: add your local videos as an OBS VLC Video source, connect OBS to your YouTube broadcast with RTMPS, and start the stream. Airtel supplies the internet connection; the computer and OBS play and encode the videos. The router and an Xstream set-top box do not run the playlist.
What you need
- A YouTube channel eligible to livestream. YouTube currently requires channel verification, no live-streaming restriction in the previous 90 days, and a streamer aged at least 16; confirm the current requirements in YouTube’s live-streaming eligibility help.
- A computer that can play the video files and encode your chosen output, connected to Airtel Xstream Fiber.
- OBS Studio and VLC installed. OBS’s VLC Video source requires VLC. For one video rather than a playlist, OBS Media Source has a separate Loop option. See the OBS media-source documentation.
- Permission to livestream every video, song, and other element in the playlist. Your stream must comply with YouTube’s policies and terms.
Set up the playlist and YouTube broadcast
1. Build the playlist in OBS
- Open OBS and create or select the scene you want to use.
- Add a source and choose VLC Video. If that source is missing, install VLC and reopen OBS.
- Add the local video files to the source’s playlist in the order you want them to play.
- Leave Loop Playlist enabled to repeat the queue. Leave Shuffle Playlist disabled if you want the files to play in the listed order.
- Fit the source within the scene, check its audio, and play the files locally before broadcasting. OBS documents common Media Source formats such as MP4, MOV, MKV, AVI, and WebM; that does not guarantee every codec or file will work on every computer.
OBS Media Source is the simpler choice for a single local video that should repeat. For multiple files in sequence, use VLC Video and its playlist controls.
2. Create the YouTube broadcast and connect OBS
- Open YouTube Live Control Room and create or schedule a broadcast.
- In OBS, choose YouTube RTMPS if it is available, or enter the server address and stream key shown for the broadcast. YouTube recommends RTMPS, an encrypted extension of RTMP; follow its encoder guidance.
- Keep the stream key private. Anyone who obtains it may be able to send a stream to your broadcast.
Choose settings for your actual upload connection
There is no single bitrate that is safe for every Airtel Xstream Fiber connection. Airtel plan speeds are advertised as maximum or “up to” values; they do not establish the sustained upload speed at a particular home, time, or Wi-Fi connection. Measure upload from the computer you will stream with, then test a setting that leaves capacity for connection fluctuations.
YouTube’s encoder guidance, accessed on October 3, 2026, lists these H.264 figures: 5 Mbps minimum and 10 Mbps recommended for 1080p at 30 fps; 6 Mbps minimum and 12 Mbps recommended for 1080p at 60 fps. YouTube recommends CBR and a two-second keyframe interval, with keyframes no more than four seconds apart. These are YouTube’s published encoder settings, not a measurement or guarantee of Airtel upload performance. Check YouTube’s current table before streaming because its guidance can change.

- Read Before You Buy — No Video Output: These adapters support charging and USB 2.0 data transfer, but cannot transmit video signals. Except for standard USB webcams (which use USB data only), they are not compatible with HDMI/DisplayPort cables, video-capable USB-C hubs, or docking stations with video output.
- Convert USB-A Ports to USB-C: Designed to connect USB-C earphones, cables, flash drives, card readers, and other USB-C accessories to standard USB-A ports. Plug-and-play with no drivers or software required.
- Aluminum Alloy Housing: Built with a sturdy aluminum alloy shell that aids in heat dissipation and protects against daily wear and scratches. Designed to maintain a stable and secure connection.
- Compact & Travel-Friendly: The ultra-compact design allows the adapter to stay plugged into your device without blocking adjacent ports or adding bulk, reducing wear and tear on your original USB ports.
- 12-Month Warranty: Backed by a 12-month manufacturer warranty for peace of mind. Designed to meet strict quality control standards for reliable everyday performance.
YouTube’s guidance lists H.264, H.265/HEVC, and AV1 ingestion options. Choose a codec, resolution, and frame rate your computer can encode and your measured connection can sustain. If OBS reports dropped frames, reduce bitrate and investigate the connection before raising quality. OBS explains connection troubleshooting at its streaming connection guide.
Test, go live, and monitor
- Run a test using the same computer and network path you plan to use for the broadcast. Include representative movement and audio; a speed-test result by itself does not establish that a long stream will remain stable.
- Start streaming in OBS. Wait for the preview and stream-health status in YouTube Live Control Room, then go live or let the scheduled broadcast settings start it.
- Watch OBS’s dropped-frame indicators and YouTube’s stream-health messages. If the stream struggles, lower bitrate first and retest.
When to use Ethernet instead of Wi-Fi
If the streaming computer can reach the Airtel router by Ethernet, test the wired setup before buying accessories. OBS warns that Wi-Fi may be unstable for streaming and recommends a wired connection. A Cat 6 Ethernet cable is one possible option when a cable run is practical, but first diagnose the problem: a cable, router, network adapter, or other device can itself be faulty. A wired connection is a useful test, not a guarantee of a stable route to YouTube.

Airtel’s broadband plans page describes its plans and service benefits, but advertised maximum speeds should not be treated as a promise of sustained upload at your location. Judge the connection from the streaming computer and the stream-health results.
Troubleshoot common problems
- VLC Video is missing: Install VLC, then reopen OBS. VLC Video requires it.
- The playlist does not repeat: Check that Loop Playlist is enabled on the VLC Video source. A single-file Media Source uses its own Loop control.
- Files play in an unexpected order: Disable Shuffle Playlist and check the order of the files in the VLC Video queue.
- Video or audio fails locally: Test each file in the scene before going live. The documentation lists common formats but does not guarantee support for every codec or computer.
- YouTube does not receive the stream: Confirm that the broadcast is created, OBS is pointed to the correct YouTube RTMPS server or connection, and the stream key matches. Keep the key private.
- Dropped frames or poor stream health: Reduce bitrate and test again. If possible, compare Wi-Fi with Ethernet; check for a faulty cable or network device rather than assuming new hardware will fix it.
- The channel cannot go live: Check verification, age, and any live-streaming restriction in YouTube Live Control Room.
