To keep Kannada devotional videos playing on YouTube around the clock, prepare a playlist of rights-cleared recordings, send it to YouTube Live through an encoder, and arrange monitoring and recovery for interruptions. First verify that your channel can livestream and that you have permission for every recording, performance, arrangement, and visual you use. A 24/7 broadcast also needs a separate replay plan: YouTube says streams under 12 hours are automatically archived, so do not assume one uninterrupted day-long stream will produce a complete replay.
Before you start: clear the music and check channel eligibility
Make sure you have the rights to every recording
Devotional subject matter does not make a recording free to use. A traditional song may still involve protected arrangements, performances, recordings, or video. Use material you own or have explicit permission to stream. Keep records showing that permission covers YouTube live transmission, the intended channel and territories, and any replay or archive use you plan.
YouTube says, “All live streams are scanned for matches to third-party content, including copyrighted content in the form of another live broadcast.” A match can lead YouTube to replace the image, interrupt the stream, or terminate it. Licensed material may still be interrupted if the rights holder has not allowlisted your channel in Content ID. Ask the owner, label, or distributor whether allowlisting is needed before launch. YouTube for Artists also recommends coordinating with a label or distributor when using copyright-protected music (YouTube Help: copyright issues with live streams; YouTube for Artists: going live).
Confirm that the channel can go live
- The channel must be verified and must not have had live-streaming restrictions in the previous 90 days.
- The person streaming must be at least 16 years old.
- If this is the channel’s first livestream activation, YouTube says enabling it may take up to 24 hours.

Choose how to keep the playlist running
Software encoder on a computer
A software encoder is a practical do-it-yourself route: it sends your prepared audio-video program to YouTube Live. The computer, power, internet connection, encoder, and playlist all need to keep working for the feed to continue. Plan who will notice and respond to a crash, network outage, silent audio, frozen image, or exhausted playlist. YouTube’s encoder setup guide explains how to connect an encoder; follow its current technical recommendations rather than guessing a bitrate or resolution that may not suit your source or connection.
Dedicated hardware encoder
YouTube also lists hardware encoders, including AJA HELO Plus. YouTube describes its PlayToStream functionality as a way to schedule prerecorded media directly to YouTube Live. This is an optional equipment route, not a requirement; verify current device capabilities and suitability before buying.

Set up and test the YouTube Live broadcast
- Prepare the program. Build a playlist from cleared video and audio files. Check that the picture and sound play through the full sequence, including transitions and any repeat points.
- Open the Live Control Room. In YouTube Studio, choose Create → Go Live. Use the Stream or Manage tab to create or schedule the broadcast.
- Set the broadcast details. Enter the title and description, choose visibility, and set the audience. Use a private or unlisted test before making the program public.
- Connect the encoder. Copy the server URL and stream key shown in YouTube Studio into the corresponding encoder fields. Treat the key like a password: do not publish or share it, and rotate it if exposed.
- Check the incoming preview. Confirm the intended image, audible and clean sound, playlist transitions, and stable connection. Watch from a second device so you can catch problems not apparent at the encoder.
- Start the public broadcast. Go live only after the test is satisfactory. Keep a person or service responsible for monitoring the feed and responding to interruptions.
YouTube’s Live Streaming API documentation distinguishes the incoming stream from the viewer-facing broadcast and discusses 24/7 feeds. That distinction is useful when planning automation, but the Studio-and-encoder workflow above is sufficient for a basic setup.

Plan for interruptions and a complete replay
No setup should be treated as a guarantee of uninterrupted uptime. Make a short response plan for the common failures:
- Frozen picture or silent audio: check the source player and encoder output, then inspect the YouTube preview.
- Playlist stops or repeats incorrectly: check that the playlist is active, files remain accessible, and repeat behavior is configured as intended.
- Network or encoder failure: restore the connection or restart the encoder, then confirm that YouTube receives the feed again before leaving it unattended.
- YouTube interruption or copyright notice: review the notice and resolve the rights issue; do not simply restart with the same uncleared material.
Keep original media and a separate backup. YouTube says streams under 12 hours are automatically archived, but that does not mean an uninterrupted 24/7 broadcast will yield a complete replay. If a complete replay matters, plan for shorter broadcasts or a separate local recording, and verify current archive behavior in Studio before relying on it (YouTube encoder setup and archive guidance).
