There is no independently verified universal “best” budget VPS for a 24/7 YouTube stream in India. For a prerecorded YouTube loop, StreamNeo is the first option to consider if you want to avoid managing a server: it runs uploaded videos or playlists from the cloud, at any uploaded quality up to 4K 60fps for one flat price per slot, with a free first day. If you specifically want to operate your own VPS, Inservers is a documented India-based candidate to test; DigitalOcean provides a useful plan comparison, but confirm Bangalore availability for the exact size before choosing it.
Choose the right setup for your stream
A 24/7 stream can mean two different workloads, and they call for different server resources:
- Relay an already encoded stream: the VPS forwards video that has already been encoded. This is generally less CPU-intensive than encoding, but still requires sustained outbound bandwidth and a reliable route to YouTube’s ingest endpoint.
- Render or transcode video on the VPS: the server must create or convert the stream continuously. This can require substantially more CPU than relaying an encoded feed. Do not assume a provider’s “streaming” label proves a plan can handle your particular encoding workload.
If your source is prerecorded footage that needs to loop, a managed cloud service is another category: you upload the video or playlist, rather than maintaining an encoder on a VPS. A prerecorded-video service is not automatically suitable for broadcasting a live camera feed.
Options to compare
The options below are not a performance ranking. No independent comparative uptime, route-quality, or stream-performance measurements are available for these providers. Compare the published plan details with your workload, then test the actual stream before relying on it.
#1 Best Overall
| Option | Published details | Best fit to investigate | Verify before paying |
|---|---|---|---|
| StreamNeo — managed cloud looping | Runs uploaded videos or playlists to YouTube from the cloud. One slot includes an always-on stream, 10 GB storage per slot pooled across active slots, looping and playlists, automatic recovery if YouTube drops the stream, and support. Uploaded quality is preserved up to 4K 60fps; the same product is offered across billing lengths. | Creators streaming prerecorded material who prefer not to administer a VPS or keep a computer running. | Check current plan details and whether your intended content and channel workflow fit the service. It streams to YouTube only and plays uploaded videos; it is not a camera-based live broadcast. |
| Inservers Streaming VPS | Its provider page advertises a New Delhi location and an IN-BASIC starting price of ₹880/month, with 2 vCores, 4 GB RAM, 40 GB NVMe and a 1 Gbps unmetered uplink. It describes RTMP relay to YouTube. These are provider-published claims, not independently measured results. | A self-managed relay where an India-based server location is important to investigate. | Checkout and renewal price, tax, exact transfer and fair-use terms, route to your chosen YouTube ingest endpoint, recovery setup, and sustained performance. |
| DigitalOcean Basic Droplet | Its official pricing page lists a $18/month configuration with 2 vCPUs, 2 GiB memory, 60 GiB SSD and 3,000 GiB transfer. Bangalore is listed as a datacenter location, but the published page does not establish that this precise size is deployable there. | A cloud-plan comparison when a published transfer allowance is useful for estimating fit. | Confirm the exact size is available in Bangalore, current transfer and overage terms, and total cost. |
| StreamSetu — managed cloud streaming | Its pricing page says prerecorded streams run in the cloud and can reconnect automatically; pricing starts at $5/month per live channel, with the precise charge varying by selected quality. One output to one platform counts as a channel. | Creators comparing managed prerecorded streaming rather than VPS administration. | Current quality-specific price, storage and retention, channel count, platform behavior, billing, and support terms. |
Inservers is a reasonable India-based candidate to test if you want to manage a relay yourself, not a proven winner. DigitalOcean is a comparison point only after confirming the exact plan and region. For prerecorded playback, compare the managed workflows and their current terms. Endercloud and VyomCloud are not included as recommendations because their original plan details were not verified.
Estimate bandwidth before choosing a plan
Your server must send the stream continuously, so estimate monthly outbound transfer from the total bitrate, including audio, rather than relying on a port-speed headline. The estimates below use decimal units and 30 days: total Mbps × 10.8 GB per day × 30. They are calculations from bitrate and elapsed time, not provider traffic measurements.
Rank #2
- Ideal for Gifting
- Ideal for a bookworm
- Compact for travelling
| Assumed total outbound bitrate | Approximate transfer in 30 days |
|---|---|
| 8 Mbps | 2.59 TB |
| 12 Mbps | 3.89 TB |
These examples assume the listed bitrate is the total stream rate; overhead can increase actual traffic. YouTube’s recommended H.264 video bitrates include 8 Mbps for 720p30 or 720p60, 10 Mbps for 1080p30, and 12 Mbps for 1080p60. Add audio and protocol overhead when estimating the server’s outbound use. A “1 Gbps” uplink is a peak link-rate specification, not a monthly transfer allowance or proof of route quality.
For a plan with a stated quota, compare that quota with your estimate and check what happens when it is exceeded. For a plan advertised as unmetered, confirm its actual transfer terms and any fair-use restrictions in writing.

Set and test the YouTube stream
YouTube’s live encoder guidance lists RTMP/RTMPS, H.264, H.265 and AV1 options. For H.264 it recommends constant bitrate (CBR) and a two-second keyframe interval; its audio guidance lists AAC or MP3. YouTube recommends RTMPS. Match the chosen encoder settings to the stream quality and the connection’s reliable capacity, and include audio in the total bitrate when checking VPS bandwidth.
- Prepare the channel’s live stream in YouTube Studio. Use YouTube’s live control room to obtain the stream key and ingest details for the broadcast. Keep the key private; anyone who obtains it may be able to broadcast to your channel.
- Configure the relay or encoder. Enter the YouTube ingest URL and stream key in the software or workflow you are operating on the VPS. Set the protocol and codec supported by the encoder and YouTube ingest, use CBR and a two-second keyframe interval, and choose a video bitrate suited to the resolution and frame rate.
- Run a representative test. Include audio and video movement similar to the planned stream. YouTube advises testing before going live and monitoring stream health; a static test image alone will not reveal every issue that moving content or audio can expose.
- Check the VPS limits under sustained load. Confirm that CPU, memory, disk use, outbound transfer and connection behavior remain acceptable over a long enough test for your use case. A server listing or momentary successful connection does not establish 24/7 stability.
- Plan recovery and monitoring. Decide who or what will detect a stopped process, an interrupted connection, or a YouTube ingest drop, and how it will restart the stream. Buying a VPS does not itself provide automatic recovery.
YouTube’s encoder guidance says: “Make sure to test before you start your live stream. Tests should include audio and movement in the video similar to what you’ll be doing in the stream.” See YouTube’s encoder settings, bitrates and resolutions guidance.

Check the total cost, not just the headline price
For a VPS, calculate the recurring cost from the actual checkout and renewal terms, applicable tax, storage, transfer quota or overages, and any separate monitoring or recovery tools you need. Inservers’ advertised ₹880/month starting price should be confirmed at checkout, including renewal and transfer conditions. DigitalOcean’s listed $18/month plan includes 3,000 GiB of transfer in its published configuration; confirm the exact region-size combination and current overage terms before treating it as your cost.
A managed service trades some server-level control for less infrastructure administration. Compare quality-specific pricing, storage, retention, platform coverage and recovery behavior—not only the starting price. StreamSetu’s page lists a $5/month starting price per channel, but says the charge varies with selected quality.

Or let it run in the cloud
For prerecorded YouTube content, StreamNeo avoids keeping a VPS, home computer or OBS session running. Upload a recording or build a playlist, add your YouTube stream key once, then go live. The cloud loops the uploaded material, with automatic recovery if YouTube drops the stream. You can use your upload as made up to 4K 60fps at one flat price per slot; the first day is free with no card, one free day per account. Monthly billing is $9.99 per month. Plans also offer day, week, six-month and yearly billing; UPI and cards are available in India, and card checkout is available worldwide. See StreamNeo for details or start your free first day.
