To keep recorded coaching classes streaming on YouTube around the clock, use a cloud playout service to send a prerecorded playlist to YouTube Live. YouTube remains the destination and watch page; the cloud service supplies and loops the recordings. First enable live streaming on the channel, then create a YouTube stream, add its server URL and stream key to the cloud encoder, check the preview, and start the broadcast.
What you need for a continuous YouTube stream
The workflow has two separate parts: a playout service that schedules or loops your recordings, and YouTube Live, where viewers watch. The encoder connects them using YouTube’s server URL and stream key. YouTube lists Gyre as a cloud-based option for 24/7 streams of prerecorded video; OBS is also listed, but it is encoder software rather than a managed cloud playlist service. YouTube’s encoder list describes these options.
- A YouTube channel eligible to stream live.
- Recordings and playlist order checked before broadcast.
- A cloud playout or encoding service capable of sending a continuous feed to YouTube Live.
- The YouTube ingest server URL and a private stream key.
- Rights and appropriate consent for every person, slide, music track, and other material in the recordings.
Prepare the channel and recordings
Enable live streaming ahead of time
YouTube requires channel verification and no live-streaming restrictions in the preceding 90 days. First-time activation can take up to 24 hours, so enable access before the planned launch. Check the current requirements in YouTube’s live-streaming eligibility guidance.
Review every recording before replay
Confirm that your organization can replay the class and all embedded material. This includes instructor and participant permissions, slides, music, video clips, and any personal or confidential information visible or audible in class. YouTube says live content must follow its Community Guidelines and Terms of Service; the platform guidance does not establish a special permission exemption for prerecorded coaching classes. Review YouTube’s live-streaming rules and use the copyright safety checklist to help audit material.

Test playback and playlist transitions
Play the recordings through from start to finish before loading a long schedule. Check audio levels, video, titles, ordering, and transitions between files. If your selected service converts files, confirm its accepted formats and output settings; YouTube describes encoders as converting video to a digital format suitable for streaming in its encoder setup guidance.
Choose how to run playout in the cloud
Managed prerecorded-video service
YouTube’s encoder list identifies Gyre as a cloud-based service for continuous prerecorded YouTube streams that can run without a dedicated PC or camera. Before relying on any managed service, verify its current pricing, service region, playlist and restart behavior, support, and recovery options directly with the provider.
Custom media infrastructure
A custom AWS pipeline can use MediaLive for encoding, MediaPackage for packaging and origination, and CloudFront to deliver a stream to viewers. That is a broader pipeline than simply sending a feed to YouTube: it adds service, region, traffic, and cost decisions. Google Cloud’s Live Stream API accepts live SRT or RTMP input, transcodes it to HLS or DASH, and saves output in Cloud Storage. Its overview does not establish a direct YouTube output or prerecorded playlist scheduler, so it is a building block rather than a documented turnkey route for this workflow. Local encoder as a fallback
YouTube lists OBS as open-source streaming and recording software. It can be useful if you want a local production computer or a fallback encoder, but it does not itself provide a cloud-hosted, always-on prerecorded playlist. For a cloud-only setup, avoid making the broadcast depend on a home computer or connection.
Connect the cloud encoder to YouTube Live
- Open YouTube Studio and create or schedule a stream. Go to the Live Control Room and create a stream or schedule one. Check the event’s visibility, title, and intended start time before proceeding.
- Copy the ingest details. Copy the YouTube stream server URL and stream key from the event’s settings into the cloud encoder’s output fields. If it offers a YouTube preset, select it; otherwise enter the URL and key in the corresponding fields. YouTube’s instructions say: “To start streaming, enter your YouTube Live server URL and stream key into your encoder.” See YouTube’s encoder setup instructions.
- Use RTMPS where supported. RTMPS carries RTMP over SSL/TLS. YouTube’s developer guidance specifies a valid YouTube ingest endpoint and port 443. Select the RTMPS endpoint in the encoder when available; see YouTube’s RTMPS guide.
- Start the encoder and inspect the preview. Start the cloud output, then wait for the Live Control Room preview. Confirm that the right video and audio are playing before you start the YouTube broadcast.
- Start the broadcast and monitor it. Use the Live Control Room to begin the event when the preview is ready. Watch the cloud service’s output status and YouTube’s preview for disconnects, missing audio, or an unexpected playlist item.
Protect the stream key
Treat the key like a password: do not include it in screenshots, shared documents, or public repositories. If it is exposed, replace it in YouTube Studio and update the cloud encoder with the replacement key.

Keep the broadcast healthy and stop it cleanly
Plan what to do if the encoder restarts, a key is replaced or expires, a source file fails, or the cloud service loses connectivity. Check the provider’s recovery and monitoring controls rather than assuming they guarantee uninterrupted service; the platform setup guidance does not promise uptime for third-party services.
When you intend to end a broadcast, stop the encoder’s output and end the event in YouTube’s Live Control Room. YouTube says streams shorter than 12 hours are automatically archived. Do not design an indefinite single event around that archive behavior: check current platform limits and archive needs in YouTube Studio before choosing the schedule. See YouTube’s encoder guidance.

For a YouTube-only broadcast, price the cloud playout or encoding service and its outbound traffic under the provider’s current terms. A separate viewer CDN is not automatically needed when YouTube is the audience destination.

AWS’s documented example is USD 69.74 for one hour with approximately 1,000 viewers at SD-540p, using standard US East (N. Virginia) pricing and the example’s stated bitrate and 99% cache-hit assumptions. Its breakdown is USD 1.99 for MediaLive, USD 0.11 for MediaPackage ingest, USD 0.40 for packaging/origination, and USD 67.24 for CloudFront distribution. This is an AWS documentation example accessed in 2026, not an India quote or the cost of a simple YouTube encoder feed; most of the example cost is viewer delivery. See AWS’s cost example.
For an Indian operation, check the chosen provider’s current regional availability, account billing terms, tax treatment, data-residency requirements, and support arrangements.
