No: YouTube does not require advanced feature access for computer live streaming. YouTube lists computer live streaming as an intermediate feature, which becomes available after phone verification. Advanced access is associated with a higher daily limit for live streaming and with other advanced features. Mobile live streaming has separate requirements, including at least 50 subscribers.
Your channel’s current status is shown in YouTube Studio → Settings → Channel → Feature eligibility. YouTube’s general requirements also apply regardless of feature tier: your channel must be verified, must have no live-streaming restrictions in the past 90 days, and you must be at least 16 years old. YouTube’s feature-access chart and live-streaming guidance distinguish these requirements.
What advanced feature access means for live streaming
YouTube separates channel features into access tiers. Phone verification grants intermediate features, including live streaming on a computer. Advanced access is not the initial gate for computer streaming; YouTube associates it with a higher daily live-streaming limit and with separately classified advanced features, such as embedding live streams. The applicable feature tier and any displayed limits are channel-specific, so check your own Feature eligibility page rather than relying on another channel’s status. YouTube’s feature-access chart
| Access or requirement | What it means for live streaming |
|---|---|
| Phone verification / intermediate access | Includes computer live streaming. |
| Advanced access | Associated with a higher daily live-streaming limit and other advanced features; it is not listed as a prerequisite for starting a computer stream. |
| General live-streaming prerequisites | The channel must be verified and have no live-streaming restrictions in the previous 90 days; the person streaming must be at least 16. |
| Mobile live streaming | Has additional requirements, including at least 50 subscribers, as well as verification and restriction-status requirements. |

Computer and mobile streaming have different eligibility rules
Streaming from a computer
For computer live streaming, confirm that phone verification is complete and intermediate features are enabled. YouTube’s chart places computer streaming at this tier; it does not make the 50-subscriber mobile threshold a computer-streaming requirement. You still need to meet YouTube’s general live-streaming requirements and any channel-specific limit shown in Studio. Feature access for YouTube Creators
Streaming from a phone or tablet
Mobile streaming requires at least 50 subscribers, a verified channel, no live-streaming restrictions in the prior 90 days, and live streaming enabled. YouTube says that the first mobile stream may take up to 24 hours to become available after you turn on the feature. These are mobile-specific conditions; do not use the 50-subscriber figure to diagnose computer streaming. Create a live stream on mobile

Check your channel’s status in YouTube Studio
- Open YouTube Studio and go to Settings → Channel → Feature eligibility. Inspect the channel’s current access tiers and the status shown for live streaming. YouTube identifies this as the place to check feature access.
- If you plan to stream from a computer, confirm that phone verification and intermediate access are complete. Review any daily limit displayed for your channel; advanced access is associated with a higher limit.
- If you plan to stream from a mobile device, check that your channel has at least 50 subscribers, that mobile live streaming is enabled, and—if this is your first mobile stream—that the activation period has passed.
- Check whether the channel has had a live-streaming restriction in the last 90 days. Verification or advanced access does not remove this separate prerequisite. YouTube’s general live-streaming requirements
- If you need advanced access for a higher limit or another advanced feature, first complete phone verification, then follow whichever channel-history or identity-verification route YouTube offers your account.
How to get advanced access
Advanced access requires phone verification followed by either sufficient channel history or identity verification with a valid ID or video, where YouTube offers those identity options. Not every creator is offered ID or video verification, and only the primary channel owner can verify identity for additional features. YouTube says ID and video reviews usually take 24 hours. YouTube describes channel history as including channel activity—such as uploads, live streams and audience engagement—as well as personal data related to the Google Account, including account age and use patterns. Its help page says most active channels already have sufficient history. YouTube’s channel-history and verification guidance

If you cannot go live, diagnose the specific gate
- You are trying to stream from a computer, but advanced access is unavailable: Check for phone verification and intermediate access first. Advanced access is not the computer-streaming prerequisite shown in YouTube’s feature chart.
- You are trying to stream from a mobile device with fewer than 50 subscribers: You do not meet YouTube’s stated mobile subscriber requirement. That threshold is not the rule for computer streaming. Mobile live-streaming requirements
- You recently enabled mobile live streaming: The first mobile stream may take up to 24 hours to become available. Check the channel’s status after that period. YouTube Help
- You are verified but still cannot stream: Check for live-streaming restrictions during the prior 90 days; channel verification alone does not override them. YouTube’s general prerequisites
- Advanced access or another advanced feature is unavailable: Complete phone verification, then use the channel-history or identity option actually offered in Feature eligibility. ID and video routes are not available to every creator. YouTube’s verification guidance
- Access changed after a policy issue: Review the channel’s current Studio status and YouTube’s recovery guidance. YouTube says Community Guidelines noncompliance can delay or remove eligibility. It says active channels that consistently follow the guidelines can usually rebuild sufficient channel history within two months; that is a general expectation, not a guaranteed restoration date for an individual channel. Streaming software cannot grant eligibility
A computer, encoder, phone, webcam or capture device can help produce a stream, but equipment does not satisfy YouTube’s channel eligibility rules. YouTube states the general rule plainly: “To live stream, you need to have no live streaming restrictions in the past 90 days and you need to verify your channel.” Get started with live streaming

Eligibility and stream operation are separate: a service cannot grant YouTube live-streaming access. If your channel is eligible and you want uploaded videos to run as a 24/7 YouTube stream, StreamNeo is a cloud service for looping uploaded videos and playlists; you add your YouTube stream key, and it can keep the stream running without a computer at home. It does not stream from a camera or provide access to YouTube live streaming. Start with the free first day, with no card required.
