If live streaming is missing from YouTube Studio, check YouTube Studio → Settings → Channel → Feature eligibility first. Confirm that computer live streaming is enabled, verify the channel if prompted, and look for a restriction notice. The available YouTube guidance does not establish a special India-only ban or eligibility threshold, so diagnose the channel’s own access status rather than assuming the location is the cause.
First, identify where you are trying to go live
YouTube has different requirements for computer and mobile live streaming. The cited mobile subscriber threshold does not establish that a computer streamer needs the same number of subscribers.
| Route | Where to start | Subscriber requirement in the cited YouTube guidance | Other relevant checks |
|---|---|---|---|
| Computer | YouTube Studio, using a webcam or streaming encoder | No computer subscriber threshold is stated in the cited feature-access table. | Channel verification, feature eligibility, and live-stream restriction status. |
| Mobile | YouTube mobile app | At least 50 subscribers. | Verified channel, no live-stream restriction in the previous 90 days, supported device, and activation time for a first stream. |
Check Feature eligibility in YouTube Studio
- Open YouTube Studio.
- Go to Settings → Channel → Feature eligibility.
- Check the status of the live-streaming feature you intend to use. YouTube notes that some features can have separate eligibility requirements.
- If computer live streaming is not enabled, follow the verification or activation prompts shown for the channel.
YouTube lists computer live streaming under intermediate feature access associated with phone-number verification. YouTube’s general live-stream guidance also says a creator needs a verified channel and no live-stream restriction in the preceding 90 days. See YouTube’s feature-access information for India and its live-streaming overview.
Check for restrictions or account notices
If eligibility is not enabled, or a live control has disappeared, look for a notice in Studio or in YouTube’s account notifications before changing your setup. YouTube identifies live-stream restrictions, Community Guidelines issues, copyright matches, made-for-kids settings, and daily limits as possible causes of feature limitations. The specific reason depends on the channel and its notices; the public guidance cannot identify an account-specific cause without those details. Review YouTube’s live-streaming restrictions guidance.

- Read Before You Buy — No Video Output: These adapters support charging and USB 2.0 data transfer, but cannot transmit video signals. Except for standard USB webcams (which use USB data only), they are not compatible with HDMI/DisplayPort cables, video-capable USB-C hubs, or docking stations with video output.
- Convert USB-A Ports to USB-C: Designed to connect USB-C earphones, cables, flash drives, card readers, and other USB-C accessories to standard USB-A ports. Plug-and-play with no drivers or software required.
- Aluminum Alloy Housing: Built with a sturdy aluminum alloy shell that aids in heat dissipation and protects against daily wear and scratches. Designed to maintain a stable and secure connection.
- Compact & Travel-Friendly: The ultra-compact design allows the adapter to stay plugged into your device without blocking adjacent ports or adding bulk, reducing wear and tear on your original USB ports.
- 12-Month Warranty: Backed by a 12-month manufacturer warranty for peace of mind. Designed to meet strict quality control standards for reliable everyday performance.
- If YouTube says live streaming is restricted, follow the instructions or appeal route in the notice. Do not use another channel to evade a restriction.
- If a video or stream is marked made for kids, check the feature limitations that YouTube displays for that content or channel.
- If you have reached a daily limit, wait for YouTube’s stated reset or follow the on-screen guidance rather than repeatedly trying different devices.
If this is your first time enabling live streaming
After turning on live streaming, YouTube says the first mobile live stream may take up to 24 hours to become available. That wait is stated for the first mobile stream; it should not be presented as a universal delay for every computer-streaming problem. See YouTube’s mobile live-streaming requirements.

Why buying streaming equipment will not restore the missing option
A webcam and an encoder are ways to stream from a computer once the channel has access. YouTube describes webcams as a computer streaming option and encoders as useful for gameplay, overlays, or hardware such as microphones and cameras. Neither equipment choice enables an unavailable channel feature. YouTube also says expensive equipment is not necessary to begin. See YouTube’s computer live-streaming tips.
