The cloud PC replaces a computer at home, but you still manage the encoder, keep the remote machine running, monitor the broadcast and secure rights to every track and visual.
What you need before starting
- A YouTube channel that is verified and has had no live-streaming restriction in the preceding 90 days. YouTube says to enable live streaming ahead of time so any activation delay does not hold up your launch. See YouTube’s live-streaming eligibility guidance.
- A cloud PC you can access and keep running, with your chosen encoding software installed and your cleared media available to it. YouTube documents the encoder connection workflow, but it does not endorse a particular cloud-PC provider or specify a suitable VM size or cost.
- Music and visual rights that cover the planned public YouTube livestream, relevant territories and any archive you intend to make available.
- A continuous playlist or media source, a stable connection from the cloud PC to YouTube, and a way to check the stream while it runs.
Clear the music and visuals first
“Instrumental” does not mean copyright-free. A recording can involve rights in both the sound recording and the underlying composition. Buying, subscribing to or downloading a track does not by itself establish permission to broadcast it live.
YouTube’s livestream terms and conditions place the necessary-rights obligation on the creator. They state: “You represent and warrant that you have all necessary rights for the exploitation of the Live Content on the Google Services throughout the world, including, without limitation, music licensing rights from artists, record labels, publishers (including public performance licenses) and any other royalty participants.” This is a platform term, not legal advice.
For licensed third-party music, ask the rights holder whether the license covers public livestreaming on YouTube and whether the channel needs to be allowlisted in Content ID. YouTube says it scans live streams for third-party matches; a licensed stream can still be interrupted if the channel has not been allowlisted by the rights holder. Set up the cloud PC and encoder
Prepare the program
- Build a playlist from cleared Hindi instrumental recordings and visuals. Check the rights for every item, including artwork, still images and video clips.
- Make the files accessible to the cloud PC. Confirm that the encoder can play the complete program and that the audio is audible and the picture displays correctly before going live.
- Choose an encoder and configure it to send a live feed to YouTube. YouTube’s published encoder workflow does not prescribe a particular cloud provider, operating-system image, VM specification, bitrate or recovery configuration, so verify compatibility and costs with your provider and encoder documentation.
Connect the encoder to YouTube Live
- Open YouTube Studio and go to Create > Go live to open Live Control Room.
- In the stream setup, obtain YouTube’s stream URL and stream key.
- Enter the URL and key in the encoder’s streaming settings, then start the encoder’s output.
- Wait for the incoming feed to appear in Live Control Room. Check the audio and visuals before starting the broadcast from YouTube’s control room.
- Keep the cloud PC and encoder running, and monitor the broadcast for problems.
YouTube’s encoder setup guidance explains the connection process. Treat the stream key like a password: do not publish or share it. If someone obtains it, reset the key in YouTube Studio and update the encoder with the replacement.
Keep a 24/7 program running
A cloud PC is still a computer you operate. You must leave the VM available, keep the encoder and media running, and check that YouTube continues receiving the feed. A remote machine removes the need to leave your home computer on; it does not guarantee uninterrupted delivery or remove the need to monitor operations. A YouTube copyright match, a strike or a cloud-PC or network problem can still disrupt the broadcast.

Keep the original media files separately. YouTube says streams shorter than 12 hours can be archived automatically, while streams longer than 12 hours may not be captured at all. A continuous 24-hour feed therefore should not be treated as a guaranteed complete replay. See YouTube’s live-stream archive guidance.

For example, 247 LiveStream says its servers stream an uploaded playlist while the user’s computer is off. OneStream’s help article, updated 2026-09-03, says its 24/7 feature is YouTube-only, requires the Enterprise plan and has a maximum duration of 30 days. Those are vendor statements; confirm current terms directly before choosing.

Troubleshoot common interruptions
YouTube does not receive the encoder feed
- Check that the encoder is running and configured with the correct YouTube stream URL and key.
- Confirm the cloud PC has network access and that the encoder is sending output.
- Re-copy the stream details from Live Control Room if the key was reset or entered incorrectly.
The live stream is replaced or interrupted
- A third-party match may have triggered YouTube’s live-stream scanning. Review the alert in Live Control Room and resolve rights issues with the relevant rights holder.
- If you have a license, ask the rights holder whether it must add your channel to its Content ID allowlist. A license does not necessarily prevent automated interruption without allowlisting.
- A copyright or Community Guidelines strike can also terminate a stream; check YouTube notifications and resolve the underlying issue before restarting.
The broadcast ends or the replay is incomplete
- Check whether the cloud PC, encoder or connection stopped, and restart the output if appropriate.
- Do not rely on YouTube to archive a continuous stream longer than 12 hours. Preserve the source files and arrange a separate archive if you need a full recording.
