1. Check that the YouTube channel can go live

Do not infer a feature from a service appearing on YouTube’s encoder list.

YouTube’s encoder guide also lists Gyre as a cloud-based tool for 24/7 prerecorded YouTube streaming. It lists Grabyo Producer and Upstream.so as cloud production services, but their listing alone does not establish that they provide automated prerecorded playlist looping and ticker graphics in your required configuration. YouTube also describes AJA HELO Plus hardware and its PlayToStream feature for scheduling prerecorded media to YouTube Live without a computer; that is a hardware alternative, not a cloud playout service. The reviewed sources do not establish current plan details, prices, or independent reliability comparisons for these options.

3. Prepare the playlist and ticker
- Clear every asset for rebroadcast. Check the rights for video clips, still images, headlines, logos, music, and other audio. YouTube requires live content to follow its Community Guidelines and Terms of Service. Permission to use one element does not establish that a license covers the entire broadcast or its continuous replay.
- Build and inspect the playlist. Add the source segments in the intended order and set looping or scheduling behavior in the selected service. Test transitions and confirm the playlist does not unexpectedly end or leave a blank output.
- Design the ticker for the finished picture. Add the ticker in the service’s overlay or graphics controls, then inspect it at both mobile and desktop viewing sizes. Check that text remains legible, does not obscure essential footage, and updates as intended. There is no universal ticker layout standard established by the cited sources, so validate your own design on the actual output.
- Test changes and interruptions. Before launch, check ticker text edits, playlist transitions, a dropped connection, recovery behavior, and any planned rollover. Automated recovery or rollover is provider-specific; verify it in the selected service and plan.
4. Connect the cloud encoder to YouTube Live
- Create or schedule the broadcast. In YouTube Studio, open Live Control Room and create or schedule a stream using the encoder workflow described in YouTube’s encoder guide.
- Copy the YouTube ingest details. Copy the server URL and stream key shown for the broadcast into the cloud service’s YouTube destination settings. Treat the stream key as a password: keep it private and do not include it in public documents or messages.
- Prefer RTMPS when supported. YouTube documents RTMPS as RTMP carried over SSL/TLS, using port 443 and a valid YouTube ingestion endpoint. Follow the service’s connection settings and the endpoint YouTube supplies. See Google’s RTMPS ingestion documentation, accessed October 3, 2026.
- Start the cloud output and inspect it before going public. Check the incoming preview in Live Control Room for the correct picture, ticker placement, sound, and playlist segment. Review the stream-health indicators; fix any reported connection or ingest problem before publishing.
5. Plan for archives and long broadcasts
Do not assume a single uninterrupted broadcast will produce one complete saved archive. YouTube says streams under 12 hours are automatically archived in its encoder guidance. Its documentation does not promise that a broadcast lasting longer than 12 hours will be saved as expected. If archives matter, plan separate broadcasts before reaching that boundary and verify the resulting videos and watch links in your channel.
As provider-specific guidance, the playout.video Help Center recommends an 11-hour restart setting for its own 24/7 workflow. That is not a YouTube guarantee and should not be assumed to describe how another service handles rollover. Test the selected service’s restart process and inspect the saved recordings before relying on it. 6. Troubleshoot before and during the broadcast
