You can make a station-like listening mix in YouTube Music by choosing Indian regional artists as seeds, then tune its variety and discovery settings. For song requests from other people, use a collaborative playlist: YouTube Music documents playlist contributions, not a dedicated live radio request queue. That means the mix and the request list are two separate tools.
Make a station-like mix from Indian regional artists
YouTube Music’s custom Mix is the closest built-in option to a personal radio station. It is an artist-seeded listening experience, not a separate broadcast channel. Create it in the mobile app:
- Open YouTube Music and tap Library.
- Choose New, then Mix.
- Select the artists you want to use as seeds. Choose artists whose music represents the languages, regions, or styles you want to hear.
- Adjust the available controls for artist variety and music discovery. You can also use optional filters such as BPM, popularity, or mood.
- Tap Done to create the Mix.
You can adjust the listening experience later. While the Mix is playing, open Up next and choose a category to change the queue. Menu labels and locations can change as the app is updated, so if the route differs on your device, check the current Library and Mix controls.
Choose useful artist seeds
Start with artists who are a close match for the station you have in mind, rather than relying on a broad genre label alone. For example, seed the Mix with artists associated with the language or regional style you want; then use the discovery and variety controls to decide whether the queue should stay close to those artists or branch out.

Try searches using the region, language, artist, song, and genre terms listeners actually use. When a name can be transliterated in different ways, try spelling variants. Search results and recommendations depend on what is indexed, so a missing result does not establish that a song or spelling is unavailable in every context.

- Search: Search by language, region, artist, track, or genre, and use category filters where available.

YouTube Music’s supported-locations information includes India. Discovery still depends on the catalog and the terms used, so test alternate spellings and names when a regional artist or track is hard to find.
Collect requests with a collaborative playlist
If other listeners should suggest songs, create a playlist and invite them to collaborate. This gives people a place to add requests, but it does not turn the playlist into a live broadcast queue or provide a documented request-inbox system.

- Create a playlist in YouTube Music.
- Make it shareable and invite the people who should be able to contribute.
- Ask collaborators to add the requested tracks to that playlist.
- Choose the playlist’s privacy and sharing settings for the audience you intend to include.
- As the owner, adjust privacy or stop sharing if you no longer want people to contribute.
A collaborative playlist and an artist-seeded Mix serve different purposes: the playlist is a manually maintained collection where invited people can add songs, while a Mix builds an adjustable listening queue from selected artists. Do not assume that contributions will be moderated, rotated automatically, or played in the order requested beyond the controls YouTube Music documents.

What to know about Ask Music in India
Ask Music is a separate feature for creating custom mixes with natural-language prompts. YouTube Music’s published availability information describes access for YouTube Premium and YouTube Music Premium members on mobile, but its listed countries do not include India. Because availability can change, check YouTube Music’s current feature information before relying on Ask Music. For an India-focused workflow, the artist-seeded Mix is the documented option to start with.

If you mean a public, always-on YouTube broadcast
A YouTube Music Mix or collaborative playlist is for listening inside YouTube Music; neither is itself a public YouTube livestream. If by “radio station” you mean a 24/7 YouTube livestream playing uploaded recordings, that is a different setup. You would need to use music you have the rights to stream publicly; a request playlist does not grant those rights or create a live request-management system.
