You can schedule a prerecorded YouTube video in Streamlabs Talk Studio, but the available documentation does not establish that Talk Studio can automatically loop a prerecorded video. To put a countdown before repeated content, make those segments into one continuous video file, then upload and schedule it. Talk Studio documents looping for background audio—not video.
Schedule a prerecorded YouTube video in Talk Studio
Connect your YouTube channel first. Then schedule the prerecorded video through Talk Studio’s Schedule view:
- Connect YouTube: Open the profile menu, select Account Settings, then Destinations and Add Destination. Follow the prompts to connect YouTube. See Streamlabs’ Talk Studio Getting Started guide, last updated October 1, 2025.
- Start a scheduled event: Open Schedule and choose +Schedule.
- Choose YouTube and the prerecorded option: Select YouTube as the destination, then select Pre-recorded video.
- Upload the finished video: Choose the video file you prepared and continue to the event details.
- Enter event details: Add the title, description, date and time, and thumbnail, then choose Schedule.
This is the documented scheduling flow in Streamlabs’ How to Live Stream Pre-Recorded Video guide, updated April 25, 2025.
Can Talk Studio loop a prerecorded video?
The retrieved Talk Studio documentation does not describe a control that repeats a prerecorded video. Its screen-sharing guide lists MP4 video as shareable, but its looping instructions apply to background audio: one selected audio track loops automatically, while an audio queue can be repeated or shuffled. That audio behavior is not evidence of a video-loop feature. See Talk Studio Screen Sharing, last updated October 29, 2025.

- Read Before You Buy — No Video Output: These adapters support charging and USB 2.0 data transfer, but cannot transmit video signals. Except for standard USB webcams (which use USB data only), they are not compatible with HDMI/DisplayPort cables, video-capable USB-C hubs, or docking stations with video output.
- Convert USB-A Ports to USB-C: Designed to connect USB-C earphones, cables, flash drives, card readers, and other USB-C accessories to standard USB-A ports. Plug-and-play with no drivers or software required.
- Aluminum Alloy Housing: Built with a sturdy aluminum alloy shell that aids in heat dissipation and protects against daily wear and scratches. Designed to maintain a stable and secure connection.
- Compact & Travel-Friendly: The ultra-compact design allows the adapter to stay plugged into your device without blocking adjacent ports or adding bulk, reducing wear and tear on your original USB ports.
- 12-Month Warranty: Backed by a 12-month manufacturer warranty for peace of mind. Designed to meet strict quality control standards for reliable everyday performance.
So, if the video itself must repeat, do not rely on an undocumented Talk Studio loop toggle. Instead, prepare a single video file that already contains the countdown and the repeated section in the order you want. This is a workaround based on the documented upload workflow, not a Streamlabs-confirmed looping feature.
Build a countdown followed by repeated content
- Decide the sequence: For example, arrange a countdown first, then the program segment, then as many repeats of that segment as you need in the same file.
- Export one continuous video: Put the countdown and repeated sections into a single finished video before uploading. The Streamlabs guide establishes the upload route, but does not specify an editing tool or prescribe export settings.
- Preview the complete file: Check that the countdown ends where intended, the repeated sections are in the correct order, and the audio behaves as you expect.
- Upload and schedule it: Follow the prerecorded-video steps above and select the completed file.
This approach makes the sequence part of the uploaded asset rather than depending on Talk Studio to repeat video during the event. The cited Streamlabs instructions do not state a file-size or duration limit for scheduled prerecorded videos, so do not assume a limit from a different Talk Studio feature applies.

Scheduled video or sharing an MP4 live?
| Workflow | What the documentation establishes | Important distinction |
|---|---|---|
| Schedule a prerecorded event | Choose YouTube and Pre-recorded video, upload the file, enter event details, and schedule it. Streamlabs’ guide, updated April 25, 2025. | The retrieved instructions do not document a video-loop control or state a scheduled-video file-size or duration cap. |
| Share an MP4 during a live Talk Studio session | The Screen Sharing guide lists MP4 video as shareable, alongside screens, browser windows or tabs, slides, images, and presentations. | The guide’s repeat and shuffle directions are for audio, not video. It also says screen sharing is not supported on mobile devices. |
These are separate workflows; the screen-sharing guide should not be treated as documentation for the scheduled-event controls.
Do not confuse intro and outro limits with scheduled-video limits
Talk Studio’s intro/outro settings describe a separate feature. Streamlabs’ Intros & Outros guide, last updated September 16, 2025, lists maximum clip uploads of 150 MB for Standard and 300 MB for Pro. Those figures apply to intro/outro clips; they do not establish a size limit for a scheduled prerecorded video.
