Then use YouTube’s current bitrate guidance for your chosen resolution, codec, and frame rate, set rate control to CBR and keyframes to two seconds, and test the result on YouTube playback. YouTube supports live video up to 60 fps, but does not prescribe 60 fps—or any single preferred cadence—for anime.
Start with the clips’ actual frame rate
Frame-rate conversion can create uneven motion when frames are repeated or blended to fit a different output cadence. For anime, begin by checking the source files’ frame rates and keeping the stream output as close to that cadence as your encoder workflow allows. Do not assume that choosing 60 fps will make every clip look smoother: it is YouTube’s supported ceiling, not a universal recommendation.
Anime collections may contain files with different frame rates. A single continuous stream then needs a consistent output setting, and the best choice depends on the files and encoder. Inspect representative clips before settling on the output cadence; there is no one ideal FPS established for every anime stream.
Configure the encoder for YouTube Live
Use YouTube’s current encoder table when choosing the bitrate. Its recommendations vary with resolution, frame rate, and codec, so treat the examples below as H.264 guidance rather than values for every setup. Check the live table again when configuring your stream because platform guidance can change. YouTube recommends RTMPS and lists H.264, H.265/HEVC, and AV1 for RTMP/RTMPS.

- Aluminum Alloy Housing: Built with a sturdy aluminum alloy shell that aids in heat dissipation and protects against daily wear and scratches. Designed to maintain a stable and secure connection.
- Compact & Travel-Friendly: The ultra-compact design allows the adapter to stay plugged into your device without blocking adjacent ports or adding bulk, reducing wear and tear on your original USB ports.
- 12-Month Warranty: Backed by a 12-month manufacturer warranty for peace of mind. Designed to meet strict quality control standards for reliable everyday performance.
| Setting | Recommended starting point |
|---|---|
| Protocol | RTMPS where available; YouTube recommends it. |
| Codec | H.264, H.265/HEVC, or AV1, as supported for RTMP/RTMPS in YouTube’s encoder guidance. |
| Frame rate | Up to 60 fps; match the source cadence where your workflow permits rather than automatically converting to 60 fps. |
| Rate control | CBR. |
| Keyframe interval | Two seconds recommended; do not exceed four seconds. |
| Bitrate | Use YouTube’s current recommendation for the selected codec, resolution, and frame rate; confirm your upload can sustain it. |
H.264 bitrate examples from YouTube’s published guidance
The following are H.264 recommendations stated by YouTube for these resolutions and frame rates:
| Input resolution and frame rate | H.264 bitrate recommendation |
|---|---|
| 240p–720p at 30 fps | 4 Mbps |
| 1080p at 30 fps | 10 Mbps |
| 1080p at 60 fps | 12 Mbps |
| 1440p at 30 fps | 15 Mbps |
| 1440p at 60 fps | 24 Mbps |
YouTube publishes separate minimum and maximum bitrate ranges for AV1 and H.265/HEVC. Do not carry the H.264 figures over to those codecs; consult YouTube’s current table for the codec you select: Choose live encoder settings, bitrates, and resolutions.

Test cadence, movement, and upload stability
- Choose representative material. Include clips with the kinds of motion and audio you intend to stream, not just a static opening frame.
- Check sustained upload capacity. Confirm that your connection can maintain the selected bitrate, with headroom for normal variation. A brief speed result alone does not establish sustained stability.
- Run a test stream. YouTube advises testing with audio and movement similar to the real stream before going live.
- Check both encoder output and YouTube playback. YouTube transcodes live feeds into multiple output formats, so a clean encoder preview does not guarantee identical playback at every resolution or device.
- Monitor stream health while live. If motion looks uneven, compare the source cadence, encoder output, stream health, and delivered playback before changing settings.
For current settings and testing guidance, see YouTube’s live encoder settings help page and YouTube’s live control room stream health guidance.
Why anime can still judder on a compliant stream
- Source and output cadence differ: converting the footage can introduce repeated or unevenly spaced frames. Check the original file and avoid unnecessary conversion.
- Encoding or upload is unstable: bitrate fluctuations or an overloaded encoder can affect the feed. Verify CBR, use the current bitrate recommendation, and check stream health.
- YouTube playback differs from the encoder preview: transcoding and the viewer’s selected playback format can change what they see. Check the delivered stream at the relevant playback quality and device.
Change one variable at a time during testing. If you alter frame rate, resolution, and bitrate together, it becomes harder to identify which change affected motion or stability.

Clear rights before looping anime clips
A technically smooth stream does not establish permission to broadcast the footage. YouTube’s livestream terms require the provider to hold the necessary rights to use live content on Google services worldwide, including music rights where applicable. Review the YouTube Terms of Service and confirm that your rights cover the intended live stream and any archive.
YouTube scans live streams for matches to third-party content. If it identifies a match, it may replace the stream with a placeholder and warn the channel to stop; continued streaming can lead to interruption or termination. Even a license may not prevent an interruption if the rights owner has not added your channel to its Content ID allowlist. See Copyright issues with live streams. If you have permission, ask the relevant owner about allowlisting before relying on a continuous broadcast.

Permission and monetization are separate questions
Copyright permission does not by itself make a channel or stream eligible for monetization. YouTube’s reused-content policy applies to live streams and gives clips from a favorite show edited together with little or no narrative as an example that cannot be monetized under that policy. The policy page notes that “repetitious content” was renamed “inauthentic content” in an update dated July 15, 2025, and says the reused-content policy did not change. Check the current YouTube channel monetization policies for the rules that apply to your channel.

Do it yourself with an encoder
A continuous local stream depends on the computer, encoder, network connection, and power remaining available. Set up your encoder against YouTube’s current guidance, test representative content, and monitor the stream as described above. For round-the-clock operation, account for what happens if the machine or connection stops; a configuration that works during a short test does not, by itself, guarantee uninterrupted operation.
