Use your phone to check the public YouTube watch page, then check any stream metrics available in YouTube Studio. Those checks tell you whether viewers can play the broadcast and how its audience is responding; they do not, by themselves, confirm that an unattended encoder, source audio, computer, or network is healthy. For documented live stream health and error messages, YouTube points operators to Live Control Room.
What you can—and can’t—check from a phone
There are two separate questions: can a viewer watch and hear the bhajan right now, and is the equipment or service sending the stream healthy? A phone is useful for the first and may show stream analytics. YouTube documents stream health and status messages in Live Control Room, but the reviewed mobile documentation does not confirm that the Studio app exposes live encoder health for a stream sent by a separate, unattended encoder.
- Public playback: confirms the viewer-facing page plays at the time you check. Listening briefly can confirm that expected bhajan audio is present.
- Studio analytics: shows report data for a live video through the documented app flow. It is not a substitute for checking the sending system.
- Source health: encoder, playback source, local network, and power need separate monitoring and a person or automation capable of responding.
Check the stream from your phone

Open the public watch page
On your phone, open the channel’s live video as a viewer. Confirm that playback starts, then listen for the expected bhajan audio. A live label or thumbnail alone does not establish that audio and video are actually playing.

Open the stream’s analytics in YouTube Studio
YouTube’s documented Android Studio app flow is: open Content, select Live, open the stream, and view its Analytics card. The documented report includes metrics such as concurrent viewers and chat messages. YouTube says metrics are available within minutes after a stream ends; this reporting flow should not be treated as a promise of live external-encoder health monitoring. Use Live Control Room for documented stream health
YouTube documents stream health and status there while streaming. Its status messages can include specific errors and instructions. If you need to diagnose a separate encoder, check Live Control Room through the interface available to you, but do not assume every Live Control Room health detail is available in the phone app. YouTube’s computer metrics guidance.
Make remote checks useful in a 24/7 devotional broadcast
Check both picture and sound
A page that loads is not enough for a bhajan stream: listen long enough to confirm the intended audio is present and at a sensible level. YouTube recommends checking event access on mobile devices and continuously monitoring audio and video quality. YouTube live streaming tips.

Decide who can respond
If playback stops, sound disappears, or an error appears, a viewer-side check will not restart the encoder or repair the source. Arrange access to the computer, encoder, network, or cloud service that sends the stream, and decide who can investigate and recover it. A phone check is useful only when there is a response path for problems it reveals.
Match monitoring to the streaming setup
YouTube describes mobile, webcam, encoder, and console streaming methods; encoders support more advanced setups and external audio/video equipment. Its encoder guide also lists Gyre as a cloud service for 24/7 streaming and CamStreamer as an in-camera application described as supporting continuous streams. These are examples in YouTube’s directory, not endorsements or evidence of a particular service’s pricing, availability, reliability, phone alerts, or remote restart capabilities. When choosing an approach, compare where the video source runs, which signals you can actually inspect remotely, how a failed stream is recovered, and whether the setup depends on power and internet at the broadcast location. A public watch-page check answers none of those source-system questions on its own.
