Change the title in Livepush

Open the relevant live stream or YouTube destination in your Livepush dashboard.

Check that the YouTube destination is connected through a linked Google/YouTube account. Livepush’s managed title feature requires a linked account; a destination set up with only a stream key does not expose that title control.

Edit the title in the dashboard and save or apply the change. Livepush says a title update is pushed to linked platforms without interrupting the broadcast, including during a live stream. See Livepush’s title feature page for its description of title updates.

Open the YouTube broadcast’s public watch page and confirm that the viewer-facing title has changed. A saved dashboard value is not confirmation that the public page has updated.
Change the thumbnail in YouTube Studio
Livepush’s reviewed documentation does not establish a thumbnail-editing workflow. For a custom thumbnail, use YouTube Studio if the selected live video exposes the thumbnail controls:

Sign in to YouTube Studio and open Content.

Select the video for the exact live broadcast. Under Thumbnail, upload an image or choose a suggested image if those options are available.

Save the change, then check the broadcast’s public watch page to confirm the thumbnail shown to viewers.

YouTube says an account must be verified to use a custom thumbnail. Its general thumbnail instructions describe editing a video, but do not guarantee that every live event or broadcast state exposes identical controls. If you cannot find the thumbnail option for the selected broadcast, do not assume a Livepush setting or stream-key change will substitute for it.
Linked account or stream key: which matters?
A stream key carries the encoder’s video feed to YouTube; it is not a field for the viewer-facing title or thumbnail. Livepush distinguishes destinations connected to a linked YouTube account from stream-key-only destinations: the latter can carry video, but Livepush says its managed title updates require the linked-account connection. Do not reset or rotate a stream key to change metadata.

For a new Livepush YouTube destination, its setup guidance describes adding a YouTube destination, linking the Google/YouTube account, selecting a channel and New Live Event, setting the title, description and privacy, and saving the destination. That is destination setup guidance, not a thumbnail workflow. YouTube’s encoder instructions cover feed setup and scheduling separately in Live Control Room.

YouTube’s editing controls depend on how the broadcast was created. Its guidance for encoder and mobile streams is not identical to its webcam-stream guidance; YouTube says webcam settings can be edited while live or before going live. Select the correct broadcast and use the controls YouTube exposes for that stream type rather than assuming every event has the same editing options. Troubleshooting title and thumbnail changes

The title control is missing in Livepush: check whether the destination is linked to your YouTube account or configured only with a stream key. Livepush’s managed title updates require the linked account connection; its YouTube connection information explains the linked-account distinction.

The title saved but viewers still see the old one: refresh or reopen the public watch page and confirm you edited the correct destination and event. The public page is the check that matters for viewers.

You cannot upload a custom thumbnail: confirm the YouTube account is verified, that you selected the intended live video in Studio, and that its current state exposes thumbnail controls. YouTube’s custom thumbnail instructions cover the upload-and-save workflow.

You expected a stream-key change to update metadata: the key is for the encoder feed, not the title or thumbnail. Leave it alone unless you specifically need to change ingestion credentials.
