Outbyte Driver Updater FREEScan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minuteDriver Scan →Outbyte PC Repair FREERepair Windows errors before they cause bigger problemsFix Now →To loop a prerecorded Gujarati news bulletin on YouTube Live, run the files through OBS Studio: use a looping Media Source for one combined video, or an OBS VLC Video source with Loop Playlist enabled for several clips. YouTube Live itself does not turn a viewer-side repeat setting into a continuous broadcast. Your computer, OBS, media files, and internet connection must remain running throughout the stream.
Choose the right OBS source for your bulletin
| Bulletin format | OBS source | What to enable | Useful when |
|---|---|---|---|
| One combined video file | Media Source | Loop | You want one source to manage and have already assembled the bulletin in order. |
| Several separate clips | VLC Video source | Loop Playlist | You need to replace or reorder individual segments more easily. VLC must be installed for this source to appear in OBS. |
OBS lists common supported video formats including MP4, TS, MOV, FLV, MKV, AVI, GIF, and WebM. Check that your files play correctly before scheduling. A combined file is simpler to operate as one source; a playlist gives more flexibility to update separate segments, but needs an ordering and transition check.
Check YouTube Live eligibility before production
- Verify the channel and confirm it has no live-streaming restrictions in the previous 90 days. YouTube says first-time live-stream activation can take up to 24 hours, so check availability on the actual channel before building a scheduled broadcast. See YouTube’s live-streaming setup guidance.
- In YouTube Studio, open Live Control Room and create or schedule a stream. YouTube’s encoder workflow provides a stream URL and stream key; the key is the credential OBS uses to send the feed. Keep it private. If it is compromised, reset it in Live Control Room. See Manage live stream settings.
Prepare the Gujarati bulletin and OBS scene
- Put the clips in the intended sequence, or render them into one combined file. Use the channel’s approved Gujarati script, names, location spellings, and pronunciation.
- Confirm that the bulletin’s footage, music, graphics, and other third-party material are cleared for broadcast. The channel must verify its own rights and any applicable legal requirements; the cited YouTube and OBS guidance does not establish Gujarati-specific rules or clear particular content.
- Open OBS Studio and create a scene for the bulletin. For one video, add a Media Source, select the file, and enable Loop. For multiple files, add a VLC Video source, select the files in the intended order, and enable Loop Playlist. Install VLC if the VLC Video source is unavailable.
- Set up the scene’s picture and audio, then connect OBS to the stream URL and stream key from Live Control Room in OBS’s streaming settings. Treat the stream key like a password: anyone with access to it may be able to send a stream to your channel.
OBS source looping is the broadcast workflow described here. YouTube’s viewer-side option to repeat a video or playlist only affects an individual viewer’s playback; it does not make the live broadcast repeat.
Test the stream and protect the connection
- Start OBS output and wait for the preview in Live Control Room. If suitable, use an unlisted test stream before the public broadcast.
- Check picture, speech and other audio, the order of clips, and the transition from the final item back to the first. YouTube recommends testing with audio and movement similar to the real event and monitoring stream health.
- Make sure the total streaming bitrate fits the available upload bandwidth. YouTube recommends leaving 20% upload-bandwidth headroom. A wired connection and a backup plan are sensible operational choices, but neither guarantees an uninterrupted broadcast. See YouTube’s encoder streaming tips.
- For a scheduled event, YouTube recommends setting up the encoder stream at least two hours beforehand and starting the encoder at least 15 minutes before the event. Use that time to confirm the Live Control Room preview and audience-facing watch page.
Go live and supervise playback
- Start the OBS encoder and confirm that Live Control Room receives the feed and reports stream health.
- Confirm the audience-facing watch page is showing the right bulletin and audio.
- While live, monitor network and stream health, sound, picture, and playlist progression. OBS looping depends on the computer, OBS, local media, and network continuing to operate; it is not a cloud-hosted or self-sustaining broadcast.
Know the archive and handoff limits
YouTube says live streams under 12 hours are automatically archived. That guidance does not establish that one local loop will produce a single uninterrupted archive beyond 12 hours, so do not plan on that outcome without checking YouTube’s current documentation. See YouTube’s live-stream archiving guidance.

Live Redirect can send viewers to a Premiere or another live stream when a broadcast ends. YouTube’s eligibility requirements include more than 1,000 subscribers and no Community Guideline strikes. Redirect is an end-of-stream handoff, not a way to loop bulletin clips inside the live broadcast. See YouTube’s Live Redirect guidance.
Troubleshoot common loop problems
- The channel cannot start a live stream: Check verification and recent live-stream restrictions. If this is the channel’s first activation, allow up to 24 hours and confirm availability in YouTube Studio.
- OBS does not show VLC Video: Install VLC, then check the OBS source list again. Use Media Source with a single combined file if you do not need a multi-file playlist.
- The wrong clip plays or the sequence is out of order: Recheck the selected files and playlist ordering in the VLC Video source; preview the full sequence before going public.
- The loop does not restart cleanly: Test the end-to-start transition, including audio continuity, in the OBS preview. If transitions are difficult to manage as separate clips, consider preparing one combined bulletin file.
- The stream preview is missing or unhealthy: Confirm OBS is outputting, that the stream URL and key match the current event, and that the connection has enough upload capacity with YouTube’s recommended 20% headroom.
- The stream stops when the operator leaves: The OBS method depends on the computer, OBS, local files, and connection staying active. Plan supervision and recovery, or use a cloud service for an always-on loop.
Or let it run in the cloud
For a YouTube bulletin loop that should continue without a computer running at home, StreamNeo runs uploaded videos from the cloud. Upload the bulletin, add your YouTube stream key once, and go live. It supports playlists and automatic recovery if YouTube drops the stream. Your upload streams as made, up to 4K 60fps, at one flat price per slot; the first day is free with no card.
