To broadcast prerecorded Tamil devotional videos as a continuous YouTube Live stream, schedule a live event in YouTube Studio and send it a continuous feed from an encoder or a cloud streaming service. A YouTube playlist by itself does not create a live broadcast. Before you begin, make sure you have the rights to stream every song, recording, and visual in the feed.
What you need for an automated YouTube Live stream
- A YouTube channel eligible to live stream. YouTube says the channel must be verified and must not have had live-streaming restrictions in the previous 90 days.
- Your Tamil devotional video files and the rights needed to stream their audio and visuals.
- An encoder or streaming service that can send the video sequence continuously to YouTube Live. An encoder can be software or dedicated hardware; buying a hardware encoder is not required.
- A reliable upload connection if you run the encoder yourself, plus a way to check the stream after it starts.
YouTube’s encoder setup guide explains how to create or schedule a stream in Studio and connect an encoder. Its separate encoder-options page names Gyre as a cloud-based service for 24/7 prerecorded streaming. That listing makes it a candidate to investigate, but does not confirm its current playlist-looping or recovery behavior for your setup. Check the chosen tool’s current documentation before relying on it unattended.
Prepare the playlist and confirm your rights
Check every recording and visual
You need the necessary rights to exploit the live content worldwide on Google services, including music licensing rights. YouTube’s livestream terms set out that responsibility. A devotional theme does not make a recording or video free to use: check the rights for each song, performance, recording, image, and video in your broadcast.
YouTube scans live streams for third-party content. If it detects content, it may replace the feed with a placeholder, and it may interrupt or terminate the stream if the material remains. Even if you have a licence, the rights owner may need to add your channel to a Content ID allowlist to prevent interruptions. Review YouTube’s live copyright guidance and resolve any allowlisting requirements before scheduling a long broadcast.

Arrange the videos in the encoder or service
Prepare the exact sequence you want the stream to play, including its audio. A standard YouTube playlist is not automatically an encoder feed: you must configure the encoder or streaming service to send the videos as a continuous live stream. YouTube’s public encoder instructions explain the connection to Live Control Room, but do not provide a universal step-by-step playlist-loop setup. Verify that the tool you choose supports the sequence, repeat behavior, and unattended operation you need.
Schedule the YouTube Live event and connect an encoder
- Confirm live access. Check that your channel is verified and has no live-streaming restrictions from the previous 90 days.
- Create or schedule the event. In YouTube Studio, open Live Control Room and create a live stream, or schedule one for later. Scheduling gives you an upcoming watch page that you can share and promote.
- Copy the connection details. Get the YouTube Live server URL and stream key shown for the event. Treat the key as a password: anyone who has it may be able to send a feed to your stream. Do not share it publicly.
- Configure the encoder. In your software, hardware encoder, or cloud service, enter the server URL and stream key. Select the prepared devotional video sequence and configure it to send a continuous feed.
- Check the encoder’s output settings. YouTube’s encoder guidance covers RTMP/RTMPS, H.264, H.265 or AV1 video, AAC or MP3 audio, and constant bitrate encoding. Choose settings supported by both your encoder and YouTube’s current guidance; exact platform requirements can change. Set quality in line with the upload connection available to the encoder.
- Start the encoder and preview. Send the feed before the scheduled event, then check the Studio preview and watch page. Confirm that the video moves, audio is audible and synchronized, and the event is accessible to viewers.
- Start and monitor the broadcast. Use Live Control Room to start the scheduled event when it is ready. Keep an eye on stream health and audio/video quality; a process that is still running does not prove that viewers are receiving a usable feed.
- End the stream deliberately. Stop sending content from the encoder when the broadcast should end. YouTube says streams under 12 hours are automatically archived. Plan longer schedules with that limit in mind and check YouTube’s current guidance for the event you intend to run.

Choose how to keep the feed running
Software encoder on a computer
A software encoder is a practical choice if you already have a suitable computer and are comfortable managing the encoder, upload connection, and monitoring. The computer and network connection must remain available while they are responsible for sending the feed. Consider whether you can detect and respond to a disconnection or playback problem.
Dedicated hardware encoder
YouTube supports hardware encoders as well as software. Dedicated hardware may suit a setup where you want an encoder device rather than a general-purpose computer, but it is optional. Check that the model supports the input, output format, and continuous playback workflow you need; the official YouTube pages do not require or endorse a particular device for Tamil devotional streams.

Cloud streaming service
A hosted service can send prerecorded video without relying on a home computer to stay on. YouTube’s encoder-options page names Gyre as a cloud-based service for 24/7 prerecorded streams; verify current playlist, recovery, and operating details directly before trusting any service with an unattended broadcast. Test and troubleshoot before leaving it unattended
No feed appears in Live Control Room
- Confirm the encoder has started sending to the correct YouTube server URL.
- Check that the stream key belongs to the scheduled event and was copied correctly. If you suspect it was exposed, replace it in YouTube Studio and update the encoder.
- Confirm that the encoder is actually sending the prepared video rather than waiting for input or playing an empty sequence.
Video or audio is missing, choppy, or out of sync
- Test with representative motion and audio before the event. Check the Studio preview and watch page rather than assuming the encoder’s running status means the feed is healthy.
- Reduce the selected quality if the encoder’s upload connection cannot reliably support it.
- Check the encoder’s compatibility with YouTube’s current protocol, video codec, audio codec, and constant-bitrate guidance.
- Verify the source files’ audio and playback behavior in the selected encoder or service.
The stream is interrupted by a copyright notice
- Check which song, recording, or visual was identified and confirm that your rights cover live streaming on YouTube.
- If you have a licence, contact the rights owner about adding your channel to its Content ID allowlist where needed.
- Do not restart the same un-cleared material and assume the interruption is resolved; YouTube may interrupt or terminate a stream when detected third-party content remains.
The playlist stops or repeats incorrectly
Check the chosen tool’s own documented sequence and repeat controls. YouTube’s encoder setup instructions do not specify a universal playlist loop, and a normal YouTube playlist is not a substitute for a continuous encoder feed. Test the full transition between files before scheduling a long stream.

The archive is incomplete or the stream runs too long
YouTube says streams under 12 hours are automatically archived. If your planned broadcast exceeds that duration, do not assume one uninterrupted event will produce an automatic archive; plan and verify the event length against YouTube’s current guidance.
