First confirm your channel can livestream and that you have rights to every recording; then choose whether to run an encoder yourself or use a cloud service that loops uploaded videos. YouTube’s scheduling controls set up a broadcast, but do not by themselves create a continuous prerecorded-video playlist.
Choose between a scheduled broadcast and a 24/7 prerecorded stream
A scheduled YouTube broadcast is an event with a planned start time. It can help viewers find a stream in advance, but scheduling alone does not provide the playback system needed to keep a playlist of prerecorded bhajans running continuously.
A 24/7 prerecorded stream needs a source that plays the files in sequence and keeps sending video to YouTube. That can be an encoder running on a computer you operate, or a service that plays uploaded or cloud-stored videos. YouTube’s Live Streaming API includes scheduled start and end controls; leaving out an end time is treated as indefinite, but that setting does not supply or certify a prerecorded playlist workflow.
| Path | What it does | What you need to manage |
|---|---|---|
| Scheduled YouTube broadcast | Sets up a broadcast for a planned start time. | It does not, by itself, play a continuous playlist of prerecorded files. |
| Encoder you operate | Sends the encoder’s live output to YouTube; the output may be a playlist played by your software. | The playback computer, encoder, internet connection, monitoring, and recovery if the output stops. |
| Cloud prerecorded-video service | Plays uploaded or cloud-stored videos and sends the output to YouTube. | Check the provider’s current plan, duration limits, and recovery behavior; you remain responsible for the music rights. |
Prepare the channel, playlist, and Navratri schedule
Check livestream access
YouTube’s eligibility guidance says the channel must be verified and must have had no live-streaming restrictions in the previous 90 days. Check access before building your event or playlist; a scheduled start cannot bypass an eligibility restriction.

- Aluminum Alloy Housing: Built with a sturdy aluminum alloy shell that aids in heat dissipation and protects against daily wear and scratches. Designed to maintain a stable and secure connection.
- Compact & Travel-Friendly: The ultra-compact design allows the adapter to stay plugged into your device without blocking adjacent ports or adding bulk, reducing wear and tear on your original USB ports.
- 12-Month Warranty: Backed by a 12-month manufacturer warranty for peace of mind. Designed to meet strict quality control standards for reliable everyday performance.
Set the schedule for the people watching
Choose the intended audience’s region, language mix, local observance, and timezone before choosing a start time or arranging a day-by-day playlist. Navratri dates and observances vary by region and calendar. A 2021 government notice documenting special Doordarshan and All India Radio broadcasts, including YouTube distribution, is a historical example—not a current date schedule or a template for this year.
Prepare and check the media
- Use recordings you have permission to livestream, and confirm that the permission covers the relevant territories and intended use.
- Arrange the files in the order you want them played, including any transitions or pauses your chosen playback workflow supports.
- Test the complete playback path before the planned start: listen for missing audio, clipping, silence, and abrupt changes in level, and check that the video plays as expected.
- Decide whether the stream should be archived. An archive can receive Content ID claims after the livestream ends.
Run the stream with an encoder you operate
This route gives you control over playback and production, but your equipment and connection must remain available for the stream to continue. A hardware video encoder is optional; YouTube recommends professional-grade hardware encoders for higher-production events, but that recommendation does not make one necessary for a prerecorded bhajan stream.

- Confirm live access. Verify the channel and check that there are no live-streaming restrictions affecting eligibility.
- Create the broadcast. In YouTube Studio, open Live Control Room and create or schedule a stream. Set the title, description, visibility, and start time, checking that the displayed timezone matches your plan.
- Get the stream key. In the broadcast’s encoder settings, copy the stream key and enter it into your streaming software or hardware encoder. Treat the key like a password: do not publish it or share it with anyone who should not be able to stream to your channel.
- Configure the encoder. Choose a resolution and bitrate that your encoder and upload connection can sustain. Use a stable output format and keyframe interval supported by the encoder and YouTube’s current instructions. The cited YouTube guidance supports encoder streaming but does not establish one universal bitrate, resolution, or keyframe value for every production; check the current settings guidance for your selected output rather than guessing.
- Set up playlist playback. In your playback or streaming software, load the rights-cleared bhajan files in order and enable repeat or looping if that software supports it. Confirm that the playlist continues into the next file and does not stop after a single pass.
- Preview before going live. Start the encoder and inspect the preview in Live Control Room. Check the image, audio, event visibility, and that the correct scheduled broadcast is selected.
- Start and monitor. Start the broadcast at the intended time and monitor the stream and playback. If the encoder computer, software, power, or internet connection fails, the feed can stop; arrange monitoring and a recovery plan for the whole period you intend to stay live.
Use a cloud workflow for prerecorded bhajans
A dedicated prerecorded-video service can play selected files without depending on a home computer to remain on. OneStream Live documents a workflow to select uploaded or cloud-stored videos, connect YouTube, enter stream details, choose a start time and duration, and schedule a continuous stream. Its help page states that this feature requires Enterprise and has a maximum duration of 30 days; those are OneStream-specific terms, last updated September 3, 2026, not YouTube-wide limits. Verify the provider’s current terms before relying on it for the full Navratri period.
Whichever route you choose, test the playback and rights situation before announcing the stream. YouTube scans live streams for third-party content; a match can trigger a warning and placeholder image, and if it remains, the stream may be interrupted or terminated. Even if you have licensed a track, the rights owner may need to allowlist your channel.

Clear the music rights before you go live
YouTube’s livestream terms say the channel operator represents and warrants that they have all necessary rights to exploit live content on Google services worldwide, including music licensing rights from artists, record labels, publishers, and other royalty participants. This is YouTube’s terms language, not legal advice.
For a bhajan playlist, check both the underlying composition and the particular recording. A devotional subject, a “free” label on a download, or having purchased a track does not establish that you can livestream it. Obtain the necessary permissions for your planned use and territories, and ask the rights owner whether your channel must be allowlisted. If YouTube detects third-party content, follow the warning and resolve the issue; continuing with an unresolved match can put the live stream at risk.

Troubleshoot the most likely interruptions
| Symptom | Likely cause | What to check or do |
|---|---|---|
| You cannot start a live stream. | The channel is not verified or has a live-streaming restriction within the previous 90 days. | Check channel verification and live-streaming eligibility before rescheduling. |
| The scheduled event starts, but no bhajan playlist plays. | A scheduled broadcast was created without a separate playback source. | Confirm that your encoder software is playing the files, or use a service workflow that explicitly supports continuous prerecorded playback. |
| The stream stops when your computer or connection drops. | The encoder route depends on the computer, software, power, and internet connection. | Restore the encoder and connection, then check Live Control Room and your playback position before resuming. For unattended continuity, consider a cloud playback workflow. |
| YouTube shows a copyright warning, placeholder, or interruption. | A third-party match was detected, or the rights owner has not allowlisted the channel. | Review the match, confirm that your permission covers livestream use, and contact the rights owner about allowlisting. Do not assume a license automatically prevents detection. |
| The archive receives a claim after the stream ends. | YouTube may make Content ID claims on an archived livestream after completion. | Review the claim and use YouTube’s available resolution process if you hold the required rights. |
