To schedule a YouTube Premiere from Android, start uploading the finished video in the YouTube app, continue to Set visibility, and choose Set as Premiere. YouTube confirms this mobile upload route; its more explicit instructions for choosing a future date and time are documented in YouTube Studio, so check the app’s available controls before finishing the upload.
Schedule the Premiere during an Android upload
- Open the YouTube app and start uploading your finished video.
- Add the video details, then continue to Set visibility.
- Choose “Set as Premiere.” If the app offers a scheduling option, select the date and time for the event and verify the Premiere and visibility settings before completing the upload.
- Confirm that the video is scheduled. Open its public Premiere watch page when it is available so you can share the event link.
YouTube’s official help confirms the Android app entry point: select Set as Premiere on the Set visibility page. The detailed scheduled workflow in YouTube Studio is to choose Schedule, enter a date and time, check Set as Premiere, and complete setup. App labels and options can vary by version; do not assume every Studio customization control is available in the Android upload flow. If you need the full scheduling controls and do not see them in the app, use YouTube Studio.
Check that the video can be a Premiere
- It must not be a Short.
- It must not be 360 or VR180 video.
- Its output must not be above 1080p.
These are Premiere format limits, not requirements for creating an ordinary YouTube upload. YouTube describes Premieres as a way for creators and viewers to watch and experience a new video together in real time.
Set the date, time, and time zone carefully
In YouTube Studio, choose the intended date and time and check the time zone shown for the schedule before saving. YouTube notes that the date displayed on the watch page is based on Pacific Standard Time; for a scheduled publication in a time zone ahead of PST, that date can differ from the date shown in Studio. If the event’s local calendar date matters to your audience, inspect the watch page after scheduling and share the time clearly.

Share the watch page and prepare viewers
A public Premiere watch page is available before the event, giving you a link to share in advance. Viewers can set a reminder, comment, and join the chat before or during the Premiere. YouTube says reminder notifications go out about 30 minutes before the event and again when it starts.
During the Premiere, viewers watch together. They can rewind, but cannot skip ahead beyond the point the video has reached. When the event ends, the video remains on your channel as a regular upload; chat replay is available, and you can review Premiere performance in YouTube Analytics.

Know what can interrupt or customize the event
Community Guidelines strikes
A Community Guidelines strike can affect a scheduled Premiere. During the penalty period, YouTube sets the Premiere to private; after the freeze period, you must reschedule it.
Optional trailer
A trailer is not required to schedule an ordinary Premiere. YouTube says trailer customization is available to creators with more than 1,000 subscribers and no Community Guidelines strikes. Treat that as eligibility for the optional trailer feature, not as a condition for creating a Premiere.
