To play recorded Kannada podcast episodes continuously on YouTube Live, send a looping playlist from streaming software or an encoder to a YouTube Live Control Room stream. YouTube supplies the stream URL and key; your chosen software handles episode order and repeat playback. For a dependable archive, plan separate live sessions shorter than 12 hours, keep a local recording, and confirm you have worldwide livestream rights to every episode and included track.
Before you start
- Live access: Your channel must be verified and have no live-streaming restrictions in the previous 90 days. First-time activation can take up to 24 hours, so enable it well before your planned broadcast. YouTube’s live-streaming setup guidance covers eligibility and activation.
- Recorded episodes: Have the files ready and decide their playback order. The playlist and repeat controls depend on the encoder or playback software you choose; YouTube’s encoder setup does not define a universal playlist-loop feature.
- Rights: Confirm you can use the podcast recordings, music, clips, and other material in a worldwide livestream on Google services. Having an audio file or podcast feed does not by itself establish livestream rights.
- Backup storage: Set aside local disk space for a recording of the broadcast. Choose capacity based on your recording format and how long you need to retain files.
Set up a continuous episode playlist
- Choose an encoder. YouTube accepts feeds from software encoders and standalone hardware encoders. Pick one whose playlist, repeat, local-recording, and restart controls suit your workflow. These controls vary by product; YouTube does not prescribe a specific app for looping episodes.
- Build the playlist. Add the episodes in the intended listening order in your chosen software and enable repeat or loop playback there. Check that playback advances from one episode to the next and returns to the start of the playlist when it ends.
- Create a stream in YouTube Studio. Open Create → Go Live to enter Live Control Room and create an encoder stream. YouTube’s encoder streaming instructions explain the workflow.
- Connect the encoder. Copy the stream URL and stream key from Live Control Room into the corresponding encoder fields. The key lets the encoder send your feed to YouTube, so keep it private. If it is exposed, use YouTube’s reset control and update the encoder with the new key. See YouTube’s stream-key settings guidance.
- Send the feed and preview it. Start the encoder output, then confirm the picture and sound appear in Live Control Room. Start the live event using the workflow shown for your stream. YouTube says encoder streams create a watch page and can appear in subscriber feeds.
- Verify the public experience. Check that the event opens on its watch page and on mobile, and listen for clear audio. Confirm that the playlist is advancing and that your local recording file is growing.
Plan reliable operation
Leave upload headroom
YouTube recommends upload bandwidth at least 20% above the total outgoing bitrate. Treat that as headroom for the feed, not a guarantee of uninterrupted streaming. Test the complete setup before the event, and monitor the connection, audio, video, and playlist during the broadcast. See YouTube’s streaming tips.
Monitor playback and recovery
Assign someone to watch the stream dashboard, check that episodes continue to advance, listen at intervals, and confirm that the local archive keeps recording. If the playback software or connection fails, restart the feed and verify the preview again. This is a practical operating plan, not a YouTube guarantee; software, network, and platform problems can still interrupt a stream.
Rotate sessions before 12 hours
YouTube says streams under 12 hours can be automatically archived, while a stream exceeding 12 hours may not be captured at all. If you need a reliable YouTube archive for each broadcast, end or rotate the session before it reaches 12 hours and begin another stream. The handoff method depends on your encoder and operating workflow. Keep an independent local recording as well: YouTube recommends recording a local archive as a backup. Read YouTube’s archive guidance.

Protect the stream from copyright interruptions
YouTube scans live streams for matches to third-party content, including another live broadcast. If matched material remains in the stream, YouTube may temporarily interrupt or terminate it. Even if you have a licence, the rights owner may need to add your channel to a Content ID allowlist. An archived stream may also receive a Content ID claim after the live broadcast ends. Details are in YouTube’s live-stream copyright guidance.
YouTube’s live-stream terms make the provider responsible for having the necessary rights for worldwide use on Google services, including music licensing rights from artists, labels, publishers, and other royalty participants. Review the YouTube Terms of Service and clear the rights to the full archive before streaming it.

Choose software or hardware for the job
YouTube documents both software applications and standalone hardware encoders; it does not endorse one type for looping podcast archives. Choose based on how much hands-on operation you can provide and whether the encoder can handle playlist playback, restarts, and local recording in the way you need. A computer-based setup can be familiar if you already use streaming software, but it depends on that computer and its connection staying available. Dedicated hardware is another documented encoder option; check its current playlist and recording features before relying on it. In either case, test the end-of-playlist behavior and recovery process rather than assuming they are built in.
