Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problemsFix Now →Scan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minuteDriver Scan →Clear out junk files and repair common Windows errorsFree Scan →Compare cloud YouTube loop services by asking what they keep, how the limit is measured, and what happens when it is reached—not by treating storage capacity as a number of retention days. Uploaded source videos, recordings saved by a streaming studio, and YouTube’s archive of a live stream are three different things. The reviewed loop-service pages specify storage capacity but do not establish a fixed period for keeping uploaded source files.
Separate the three kinds of video storage
- Uploaded source media: The files you give a loop service so it can play them. A service may state a storage quota without saying how many days those files remain in your account.
- Cloud recordings: Recordings created by a streaming studio while you broadcast or record. These may have a separate quota and deletion policy.
- YouTube live archives: Platform-side copies YouTube may create after a broadcast. This is not the same as retaining your source files with a loop provider or saving a studio recording.
Keep these as separate rows when comparing services. A gigabyte allowance is a capacity limit, not a retention promise.
Use a comparison framework that exposes the real policy
- Identify what is retained. Is it your uploaded video, a studio recording, or a YouTube archive?
- Record how the limit is expressed. Look for fixed days, gigabytes, file counts, recording-hours, or an explicitly unstated duration.
- Find what happens at the limit. Uploads or recordings might be blocked, old files might be deleted, or the service may not document the outcome. Do not assume.
- Check recoverability. Determine whether deleted files can be restored, and distinguish manual deletion from automatic quota cleanup.
- Check operating limits separately. File-size caps, stream-duration caps, playlist behavior, and scheduling affect whether a service fits your workflow, but they do not establish retention duration.
- Confirm the applicable terms. Policies and plan limits can change. For a contractual number of retention days, ask the provider or check the terms for your account and plan.
What the reviewed services say about retention
| Service or system | What is retained | How the limit is expressed | What happens at the limit | Retention duration established? |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| StreamNeo — StreamNeo | Uploaded source videos used for YouTube looping. | 10 GB per slot, pooled across active slots. | A deletion or over-cap behavior is not stated here; check current account terms or ask StreamNeo. | No fixed number of days is stated. |
| LiveReacting — LiveReacting pricing | Video, image, and music files stored in the user account. | Plan-level GB capacity and maximum upload-file size. A configuration shown on the pricing page at research time included 30 GB and files up to 6 GB; other tiers listed different limits. The vendor offer may change. | The reviewed pricing page does not establish what happens to stored files at capacity. | No fixed number of days is stated. |
| Gyre — Gyre | Videos uploaded into Gyre Storage for playlists and continuous broadcasts. | Storage capacity by plan, as described by the provider. | The reviewed pages do not establish what happens to source files at capacity. | No fixed number of days is stated. |
| StreamYard — StreamYard Help Center: What is Storage? | Studio recordings, rather than source files for a dedicated continuous loop service. | Recording-hours. StreamYard Help Center lists 50 recording-hours on Core and Advanced plans. | When recordings exceed available hours, new studio recordings may stop being saved. Automatic deletion can remove the oldest recordings chronologically to get under the cap; the help page says deleted recordings cannot be recovered. | No fixed number of days is stated; the documented behavior is quota-based. |
| YouTube archive — YouTube Help: Archive live streams | A platform-side archive of a live broadcast, when captured. | Broadcast duration affects whether YouTube can automatically archive it. | YouTube says streams longer than 12 hours may not be captured at all. It recommends making a local archive backup. | This is not a source-file retention period or a guarantee of a complete archive for a 24/7 broadcast. |
The LiveReacting and StreamYard figures above are plan details described by their respective providers, not independent measures. Confirm current plan pages before relying on them.
Do not count YouTube’s archive as a 24/7 backup
YouTube Help says, “If your live stream is less than 12 hours long, YouTube can automatically archive it for you.” It also warns, “If your stream exceeds 12 hours, it may not be captured at all.” YouTube recommends recording a local archive as a backup. A continuous 24/7 stream therefore should not be treated as a guaranteed complete YouTube VOD.

- Read Before You Buy — No Video Output: These adapters support charging and USB 2.0 data transfer, but cannot transmit video signals. Except for standard USB webcams (which use USB data only), they are not compatible with HDMI/DisplayPort cables, video-capable USB-C hubs, or docking stations with video output.
- Convert USB-A Ports to USB-C: Designed to connect USB-C earphones, cables, flash drives, card readers, and other USB-C accessories to standard USB-A ports. Plug-and-play with no drivers or software required.
- Aluminum Alloy Housing: Built with a sturdy aluminum alloy shell that aids in heat dissipation and protects against daily wear and scratches. Designed to maintain a stable and secure connection.
- Compact & Travel-Friendly: The ultra-compact design allows the adapter to stay plugged into your device without blocking adjacent ports or adding bulk, reducing wear and tear on your original USB ports.
- 12-Month Warranty: Backed by a 12-month manufacturer warranty for peace of mind. Designed to meet strict quality control standards for reliable everyday performance.
That guidance concerns the platform’s live archive, not how long a loop provider keeps your uploaded video. YouTube DVR is different again: it lets viewers pause and rewind a live stream while watching; it is not a source-file storage policy or a saved recording. See YouTube Help: Turn on DVR on live streams.
Choose the service based on your actual storage need
- If you need an explicit retention period: Ask how long source files stay available, whether the period renews while a stream is active, and what triggers deletion. The reviewed loop-service pages do not give a fixed number of days.
- If your library is large: Compare per-account or per-slot capacity and maximum upload size, then confirm what happens when the quota is full. Capacity alone does not tell you whether uploads fail, files are removed, or existing content stays available.
- If you need recorded broadcasts: Check the recording quota and deletion policy independently of source-file storage. StreamYard’s documentation gives a specific quota-based example, including unrecoverable automatic deletion.
- If you need a durable archive: Keep a separate copy you control. Do not rely on a YouTube archive for a broadcast that exceeds 12 hours, or assume a loop provider’s source copy is a permanent backup.
Or let it run in the cloud
For a YouTube channel that needs prerecorded videos to loop continuously, StreamNeo is the first option to consider: it keeps the stream running from the cloud, supports any uploaded quality up to 4K 60fps at one flat price per slot, and automatically recovers if YouTube drops the stream. Upload your recording or build a playlist, add your YouTube stream key once, and go live. Nothing has to stay on at home; your computer, OBS, and home connection can be off. Each slot includes 10 GB of storage, pooled across active slots, and the first day is free with no card. Monthly pricing is $9.99 per month. The storage allowance is capacity, not a stated number of retention days. For India, UPI and cards are accepted; card checkout is available worldwide. See StreamNeo or start the free first day.
