If your PRISM Live Studio stream to YouTube is buffering, first check where the problem occurs. For a desktop YouTube stream that will not start or keeps becoming unstable in India, PRISM’s specific recommendation is to switch to IPv4 and enable network optimizations. If a stream starts and then drops, investigate upload capacity, Wi-Fi stability and security software. On mobile, try Adaptive and lower the resolution. These steps address different failure types; none guarantees a fix for every viewer-visible buffering problem.
First identify what “buffering” means
Viewers may describe a choppy, frozen or repeatedly interrupted broadcast as buffering. PRISM’s support articles usually describe the corresponding symptoms as an unstable stream, a disconnection or a failure to connect. The right fix depends on whether you use desktop or mobile and whether the stream fails before going live or drops after it starts.
- Desktop, unable to start or unstable from the outset: try PRISM’s India-specific network settings below.
- Desktop, disconnects during a live stream: check upload capacity, network stability, Wi-Fi signal and firewall or security software.
- Mobile, unstable transmission: enable Adaptive, reduce resolution if needed, and check whether the connection is overloaded.
- Never connects: check the RTMP address and YouTube streaming permissions as well as network quality.
PRISM’s desktop guidance about India concerns the app’s connection to a YouTube RTMP ingest server. It is not a universal setting for every mobile problem or every case of mid-stream buffering. PRISM desktop guide: “Failed to connect to the server” and PRISM desktop guide: “Disconnected from server”.
Desktop in India: change PRISM’s network settings
If a desktop YouTube RTMP stream will not start or is unstable, PRISM’s India-focused guidance points to network conditions related to IPv6 transition policies and changes in ISP infrastructure in certain countries. In PRISM Live Studio, use this path:

- 【Strong Adsorption】The inspiration of the silicone phone suction case comes from the adhesive force of the octopus. Each suction cup phone mount is 3.15 inches long and 2.17 inches wide, with 24 independent suction cups providing a stronger and more stable suction force, so you don't have to worry about your phone falling during use.
- 【Back of Phone Suction Grip】Remove the adhesive film on the phone suction cup and stick it on the phone case. You can then fix the phone on any smooth surface, which is very convenient. (The phone suction cup cannot be removed and reused after being attached to the phone case. It is recommended to attach it to a regular phone case, not a valuable one.)
- 【Widely Used】Our non-slip silicone phone sticky grip mount attaches to almost any flat phone case and make it compatible with common mobile phones such as iPhone and Android. You can shoot, watch videos or video calls in the kitchen, gym, dance studio, bathroom and other places.
- 【Capture the Wonderful Picture】Whether you are a TikTok creator or just like to share videos and photos, this phone suction cup can help you hands-free capture wonderful videos and photos for sharing with friends.
- 【Note】You can fix the phone suction cup on a smooth surface such as a mirror or glass. If necessary, wipe the suction cup with a damp cloth to obtain stronger suction. Before releasing your hand, make sure the phone is firmly fixed. (Not applicable to rough walls, wooden surfaces, and other uneven surfaces)
- Open Settings.
- Select Advanced, then Network.
- Set IP Family to IPv4 Only.
- Turn on Enable network optimizations.
- Apply the settings and restart PRISM before trying the stream again.
PRISM’s desktop support guide says: “In regions where IPv6 network connections are unstable, using IPv4 may help improve connection stability to the streaming ingest server.” The qualification matters: this is vendor guidance for the described connection problem, not a promise that IPv4 will resolve all buffering. Read PRISM’s connection guide.
Desktop stream starts, then disconnects
For a stream that goes live but later disconnects, check the local transmission path before changing unrelated settings.

- SUPERIOR COMFORT — Unlike traditional circular ear buds, the design of EarPods is defined by the geometry of the ear. Which makes them more comfortable for more people than any other ear bud–style headphones.
- HIGH-QUALITY AUDIO — The speakers inside EarPods have been engineered to maximize sound output and minimize sound loss, which means you get high-quality audio.
- BUILT-IN REMOTE — EarPods with USB-C plug also include a built-in remote that lets you adjust the volume, control the playback of music and video, and answer or end calls with a pinch of the cord.
- COMPATIBILITY — Works with all devices that have a USB-C port.
- INTEGRATED MICROPHONE — A built-in microphone precisely captures your voice while you’re on the phone, taking a FaceTime call, or summoning Siri — so you’re always heard loud and clear.
Check the upload connection
Streaming sends video from your computer to YouTube, so available upload capacity and connection stability matter. Other activity on the same connection can leave less capacity for the stream. If the connection is unstable, try again when it is less loaded.
Use wired LAN if available
A weak or inconsistent Wi-Fi signal can interrupt transmission. If your computer and router can be connected by Ethernet, test a wired connection. PRISM’s disconnection guide says: “To maintain a consistent data transmission, we highly recommend using a wired internet connection (LAN) rather than Wi-Fi.” A suitable Ethernet cable can help make that test; check that your computer has an Ethernet port or a compatible adapter. A cable does not fix ISP routing, insufficient upload capacity or a YouTube-side issue. See PRISM’s disconnection troubleshooting.

Check security software without leaving protection disabled
A firewall or third-party security program may interfere with PRISM’s connection. Review its settings to determine whether PRISM’s streaming traffic is being blocked. Do not leave protective software permanently disabled as a troubleshooting shortcut; if you cannot safely identify an appropriate exception, ask the software provider or your network administrator for help.
Mobile: adapt the stream to the connection
On mobile, enable PRISM’s Adaptive option in the stream-quality controls. Adaptive can reduce the amount of video data sent as network conditions change, which may help transmission continue, but the picture can lose quality. If the stream remains unstable, lower its resolution as well. PRISM’s mobile streaming-failure guide recommends reducing quality when network conditions are unstable.

Check whether other people or devices on the same connection are transferring large files or otherwise using substantial bandwidth. If you are streaming outdoors or in a crowded area, test the network conditions where you are; a connection that works well for browsing may still be inconsistent for an outgoing live video stream.
PRISM’s mobile bandwidth guidance
With Adaptive off, PRISM lists the following bandwidth ranges for mobile streaming. They are PRISM’s guidance, not a universal YouTube bitrate guarantee. PRISM recommends having at least twice the specified network bandwidth for high-quality live streaming. The retrieved guide does not state a publication date.

Independent reader supportYour contribution helps us test, update, and keep practical guides available for everyone. If the stream never connects, check the stream setup
A connection failure is not always caused by weak bandwidth. If the app cannot connect after the network checks, confirm that the RTMP address is valid and that the stream key and YouTube live-streaming permissions are set up correctly. PRISM’s mobile failure guide also identifies platform connection problems and streaming-rights restrictions as possible causes. For a rights-related block, check that you have permission to stream the content; do not treat network changes as a workaround for a restriction.
For desktop errors that persist, PRISM’s FAQ advises checking that internet access works, checking the network in use, updating PRISM and contacting its service inquiry channel if the problem remains. See the PRISM FAQ.
Or let it run in the cloud
If your goal is to keep prerecorded video live on YouTube around the clock, StreamNeo is a cloud option rather than a fix for a PRISM camera stream: upload a recording or build a playlist, add your YouTube stream key once, and go live. It loops uploaded videos in the cloud, so no computer or home connection has to stay on. Every slot streams the uploaded quality up to 4K 60fps at one flat price per slot, includes automatic recovery if YouTube drops the stream, and the first day is free with no card. Monthly billing is $9.99 per month. Start your free day with StreamNeo.
