Outbyte Driver Updater FREEScan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minuteDriver Scan →Outbyte PC Repair FREERepair Windows errors before they cause bigger problemsFix Now →If you want your YouTube broadcast to continue after a prerecorded video ends, keep another source or scene live—or enable a loop/repeat option if your installed PRISM Desktop version exposes one. PRISM’s public media-source guide explains how to add and play a local video, but does not document a loop-at-end setting or say that a finished clip automatically ends the YouTube broadcast. Test the handoff before relying on it.
First, identify what is ending
A video finishing and a YouTube live session ending are separate events. A media source is the local video, image, or audio file used in a stream; session controls concern whether YouTube’s live session remains available. PRISM Mobile’s “KEEP” or “Keep Session” controls preserve a session for later resumption—they do not replay a finished video.
- The clip ends, but the broadcast remains live: arrange for the outgoing scene to keep producing content, or loop the clip if the installed Desktop build offers that control.
- The YouTube session goes OffAir: investigate the platform or transmission state; do not assume the clip ending caused it.
- The device stops sending, but YouTube still shows the session OnAir: Mobile may offer a way to keep or resume that session, subject to its eligibility requirements.
Keep a Desktop broadcast active after the clip
- Note your PRISM platform and version. Desktop and Mobile have different controls. This guide’s media-source directions apply to PRISM Desktop.
- Open the video media source’s properties. Check the options in the version you have installed for a loop or repeat control. The public PRISM guide does not document such a setting, so do not assume it exists or use an exact toggle name without confirming it in your app.
- If a loop or repeat option is available, enable it and rehearse. Watch the source through the end of the clip and confirm that playback starts again while the YouTube broadcast continues.
- If there is no loop control, arrange a persistent scene or source. Ensure another source or scene is ready to remain on air after the clip finishes, then rehearse the changeover. Confirm in YouTube that the outgoing broadcast is still receiving content. This is practical continuity advice, not a PRISM-documented loop feature.
- End the broadcast deliberately when you are finished. Use PRISM’s End/Finish control. PRISM warns that its transmission may continue after the platform appears to have ended.
PRISM’s media-source guide also describes a Studio Mode playback setting: “If media sources do not autoplay: Method 1: Uncheck the ‘Restart playback when source becomes active’ option, then click the OK button.” That addresses autoplay or playback when a source becomes active; it is not evidence of a loop-at-end option.
Use Mobile session controls only to resume a session
If PRISM Mobile stops transmitting but YouTube still shows the live session as OnAir, PRISM’s “Ending Process of YouTube Streaming” guide describes a “KEEP” control. Its “Resuming YouTube Streams” guide describes choosing “Keep Session” and later selecting the active session. PRISM says the described mobile resume feature is supported on channels with more than 50 subscribers; the page does not state a publication year for that eligibility figure.
#1 Best Overall
- Read Before You Buy — No Video Output: These adapters support charging and USB 2.0 data transfer, but cannot transmit video signals. Except for standard USB webcams (which use USB data only), they are not compatible with HDMI/DisplayPort cables, video-capable USB-C hubs, or docking stations with video output.
- Convert USB-A Ports to USB-C: Designed to connect USB-C earphones, cables, flash drives, card readers, and other USB-C accessories to standard USB-A ports. Plug-and-play with no drivers or software required.
- Aluminum Alloy Housing: Built with a sturdy aluminum alloy shell that aids in heat dissipation and protects against daily wear and scratches. Designed to maintain a stable and secure connection.
- Compact & Travel-Friendly: The ultra-compact design allows the adapter to stay plugged into your device without blocking adjacent ports or adding bulk, reducing wear and tear on your original USB ports.
- 12-Month Warranty: Backed by a 12-month manufacturer warranty for peace of mind. Designed to meet strict quality control standards for reliable everyday performance.
These controls keep a YouTube session available to resume; they do not restart or loop the media item. Use them when your goal is session continuity, not continuous playback of the clip.
If YouTube itself goes OffAir
PRISM’s troubleshooting guide says the app checks whether the destination live remains OnAir and stops its own streaming after confirming the destination stream has ended. It lists abnormal stream processing, policy enforcement, and platform limits as possible causes. YouTube’s maximum stream-time limit is not stated to be a cause in PRISM’s current guidance; that same guidance says YouTube has no maximum stream-time limit. It also notes automatic archiving is supported only for streams under 12 hours. That archival threshold is not a way to keep a clip playing or a live session active.
