Streamlabs Mobile can send a YouTube live broadcast from an Android phone, but it is not a dependable way to leave a channel unattended around the clock. The main constraint is YouTube’s replay archive: streams longer than 12 hours may not be captured at all. Use the phone app for a supervised broadcast; if you need continuous playback of prerecorded videos, a cloud service such as StreamNeo is a better fit than leaving a phone running.
What “24/7” means with Streamlabs Mobile
Starting a mobile stream and keeping a channel continuously available are different jobs. Streamlabs Mobile supports YouTube broadcasts using an Android phone’s camera or screen. But the app does not make a phone an always-on streaming server: battery, heat, network interruptions, calls, Android background behavior, and operator oversight all matter. The available vendor guidance does not establish a safe, universal recipe for leaving a phone streaming unattended for 24 hours.
There is also an archive limitation independent of whether the broadcast stays live. YouTube says streams under 12 hours can be automatically archived, while a stream that exceeds 12 hours may not be captured at all. A single 24-hour broadcast therefore is not a reliable way to produce a complete replay. If a full archive matters, plan shorter segments and verify each replay after the broadcast.
Check YouTube eligibility before setting up
YouTube’s Android mobile-live guidance lists these requirements: at least 50 subscribers, a verified channel, no live-streaming restrictions in the preceding 90 days, live streaming enabled, and Android 8.0 or later. First-time live activation can take up to 24 hours. These are YouTube’s stated requirements for native mobile live streaming; do not assume every threshold applies identically to every Streamlabs connection flow. - 【Strong Adsorption】The inspiration of the silicone phone suction case comes from the adhesive force of the octopus. Each suction cup phone mount is 3.15 inches long and 2.17 inches wide, with 24 independent suction cups providing a stronger and more stable suction force, so you don't have to worry about your phone falling during use.
- 【Back of Phone Suction Grip】Remove the adhesive film on the phone suction cup and stick it on the phone case. You can then fix the phone on any smooth surface, which is very convenient. (The phone suction cup cannot be removed and reused after being attached to the phone case. It is recommended to attach it to a regular phone case, not a valuable one.)
- 【Widely Used】Our non-slip silicone phone sticky grip mount attaches to almost any flat phone case and make it compatible with common mobile phones such as iPhone and Android. You can shoot, watch videos or video calls in the kitchen, gym, dance studio, bathroom and other places.
- 【Capture the Wonderful Picture】Whether you are a TikTok creator or just like to share videos and photos, this phone suction cup can help you hands-free capture wonderful videos and photos for sharing with friends.
- 【Note】You can fix the phone suction cup on a smooth surface such as a mirror or glass. If necessary, wipe the suction cup with a damp cloth to obtain stronger suction. Before releasing your hand, make sure the phone is firmly fixed. (Not applicable to rough walls, wooden surfaces, and other uneven surfaces)
YouTube also says that for channels with more than 50 but fewer than 1,000 subscribers, it may limit the audience size for mobile live streams and set the archive private by default. Check the visibility and audience settings on the event and the resulting archive.
Set up a supervised Streamlabs Mobile broadcast
- Prepare the channel. Verify the channel and enable live streaming in YouTube. If this is the first activation, allow up to 24 hours before expecting to go live.
- Install and open Streamlabs Mobile on Android. Sign in, connect YouTube when prompted, and grant the camera and microphone permissions needed for the broadcast. Streamlabs documents both camera and screen capture.
- Choose what to broadcast. Select camera or screen capture in the app. Configure the available video settings, including resolution, frame rate, and bitrate, to suit the device and network. The reviewed guidance does not establish one best setting for every phone or connection; begin conservatively if the connection is inconsistent.
- Create or select the YouTube event. Use Streamlabs’ Go Live flow to select YouTube and create a broadcast or join an existing event. Confirm the event title, visibility, and other details before starting.
- Test and verify. Where appropriate, use a private or unlisted test. Confirm that the video and audio appear on YouTube, then check stream health and playback from a second device if possible.
- Reduce avoidable interruptions. Close background apps and suppress notifications or calls that could interrupt the broadcast. Use a reliable network and keep the phone in a stable, ventilated position. Streamlabs advises starting with a fully charged phone and cautions that charging while streaming may strain the battery; device behavior varies, so do not treat continuous charging as a guaranteed safe 24-hour setup.
- Supervise the session. Check the stream periodically for dropped connection, muted audio, framing changes, overheating, or a stalled app. A phone-based broadcast needs an operator who can respond to interruptions.
Plan around YouTube’s 12-hour archive limit
YouTube’s rule is about capture, not a promise that a stream will stop precisely at 12 hours: “If your stream exceeds 12 hours, it may not be captured at all.” If you need a replay, keep each broadcast under 12 hours and confirm that its archive is available afterward. If you need continuous public availability, ending one segment and starting another can create a viewing break, so schedule and supervise transitions rather than promising uninterrupted service.

- SUPERIOR COMFORT — Unlike traditional circular ear buds, the design of EarPods is defined by the geometry of the ear. Which makes them more comfortable for more people than any other ear bud–style headphones.
- HIGH-QUALITY AUDIO — The speakers inside EarPods have been engineered to maximize sound output and minimize sound loss, which means you get high-quality audio.
- BUILT-IN REMOTE — EarPods with USB-C plug also include a built-in remote that lets you adjust the volume, control the playback of music and video, and answer or end calls with a pinch of the cord.
- COMPATIBILITY — Works with all devices that have a USB-C port.
- INTEGRATED MICROPHONE — A built-in microphone precisely captures your voice while you’re on the phone, taking a FaceTime call, or summoning Siri — so you’re always heard loud and clear.
For a serious fixed-location production, YouTube describes encoder streaming as an option for more advanced setups. Its guidance recommends monitoring stream health, checking audio and video quality, and verifying local recording files. A computer or hardware encoder can support more production equipment than a phone, but it still needs power, connectivity, monitoring, and a plan for recordings. The available guidance does not establish that any encoder workflow will restart automatically or run without interruption.
Common problems and what to check
- Go Live is unavailable: Check channel verification, mobile-live eligibility, any restrictions in the last 90 days, and whether live streaming has been enabled. For a first-time activation, allow up to 24 hours.
- The broadcast does not appear on YouTube: Confirm the selected YouTube account and event, inspect the event’s visibility, and verify that the app is actually sending video rather than only showing a live state in its own interface.
- Video or audio drops: Check network stability, app permissions, and competing background apps. Lower output settings if needed, then test again and monitor YouTube’s stream health.
- A portrait broadcast or event selection causes trouble: Streamlabs’ September 3, 2026 troubleshooting entry, marked resolved, described prior YouTube go-live cases involving portrait orientation and duplicate or existing broadcasts. For a similar symptom, try horizontal orientation or choose the existing broadcast where appropriate; that dated report does not establish a defect in every current app version.
- The archive is missing or incomplete: Check whether the stream exceeded 12 hours. YouTube warns that an over-12-hour stream may not be captured at all; use shorter segments when replay capture matters.
Or let it run in the cloud
For continuous playback of uploaded videos on YouTube, StreamNeo keeps the stream running from the cloud: upload a recording or build a playlist, add your YouTube stream key once, and go live. Nothing has to stay on at home; it streams the uploaded quality up to 4K 60fps at one flat price per slot, and automatically recovers if YouTube drops the stream. The first day is free with no card. Monthly billing is $9.99 per month. StreamNeo plays uploaded videos rather than broadcasting a live phone camera. See how StreamNeo works, or start the free day.
