How to Migrate a 24/7 YouTube Stream from Gyre to IRL Pro

Gyre's cloud playlist workflow and IRL Pro's Android broadcast setup are not proven equivalents. Verify looping, unattended operation, and recovery before cutting over.

You can move the YouTube destination settings from Gyre to IRL Pro, but do not assume the two services behave alike. Gyre documents cloud-based continuous playback of prerecorded videos; IRL Pro documents an Android app that broadcasts to YouTube using RTMP or SRT. The available IRL Pro instructions do not confirm endless playlist looping, unattended starts, or automatic recovery after an interruption. Confirm those requirements with IRL Pro and test them before ending your Gyre stream.

What changes when you move from Gyre to IRL Pro?

Area Gyre IRL Pro
Playback and sending Gyre documents continuous playback of uploaded prerecorded files from its infrastructure; its guide says your computer can be off while it sends the stream. Gyre’s 24/7 YouTube guide. IRL Pro documents broadcasting from its Android app to a configured publish URL using RTMP or SRT. The available guide does not establish continuous looping of prerecorded videos. IRL Pro broadcasting guide.
Unattended operation and recovery Gyre describes its cloud-hosted continuous workflow. Whether it can start unattended, loop indefinitely, or automatically recover after a network or app interruption is not established in the available instructions.
Destination setup Gyre describes both manual setup and YouTube channel authorization. With authorization, it can create the broadcast, bind a stream key, carry over metadata, and start the stream. Gyre’s YouTube authorization article. Configure a stream key and publish URL, select the matching protocol, and paste the complete URL in IRL Pro. For RTMP, the key is already included in the URL; a separate key field is not needed.
Hardware and connection Gyre says its infrastructure sends the stream. The documented setup requires IRL Pro on Android. It is a mobile broadcast workflow, not evidence that the phone can safely run unattended around the clock.

Gyre’s playlists, metadata, and settings are not documented as exportable to IRL Pro. Treat this as a new configuration, not a direct import or one-click migration.

Before you disconnect Gyre

Inventory what the current stream uses

  • The YouTube channel, stream title and description, visibility, and any scheduled or monetization settings you need to preserve.
  • The source video files, their playlist order, and any transition or repeat behavior that matters to the channel.
  • How the stream key is configured and whether Gyre’s YouTube authorization or manual setup is being used.

Keep the current Gyre broadcast running while you resolve whether IRL Pro can meet the playback and recovery requirements. Do not assume Gyre’s authorized workflow or its settings will carry over.

Verify IRL Pro’s fit for continuous prerecorded playback

Ask IRL Pro support or consult its current documentation whether the Android app can play your prerecorded material continuously, loop it, start unattended, and resume automatically after a network or app interruption. These are the key migration blockers: the published broadcasting guide explains how to send a feed but does not establish those behaviors. Validate each required behavior under your own operating conditions before cutover.

Elebase USB to USB C Adapter for iPhone 18 Pro Max,USBC Car Charger Adapter
  • Read Before You Buy — No Video Output: These adapters support charging and USB 2.0 data transfer, but cannot transmit video signals. Except for standard USB webcams (which use USB data only), they are not compatible with HDMI/DisplayPort cables, video-capable USB-C hubs, or docking stations with video output.
  • Convert USB-A Ports to USB-C: Designed to connect USB-C earphones, cables, flash drives, card readers, and other USB-C accessories to standard USB-A ports. Plug-and-play with no drivers or software required.
  • Aluminum Alloy Housing: Built with a sturdy aluminum alloy shell that aids in heat dissipation and protects against daily wear and scratches. Designed to maintain a stable and secure connection.
  • Compact & Travel-Friendly: The ultra-compact design allows the adapter to stay plugged into your device without blocking adjacent ports or adding bulk, reducing wear and tear on your original USB ports.
  • 12-Month Warranty: Backed by a 12-month manufacturer warranty for peace of mind. Designed to meet strict quality control standards for reliable everyday performance.

Configure IRL Pro for YouTube

  1. Enable live streaming and open YouTube Live Control Room. YouTube’s encoder instructions require live streaming to be enabled and the encoder to be configured with the stream URL and key. See YouTube’s live encoder setup instructions.
  2. Choose the destination protocol and copy its current publish URL. IRL Pro supports RTMP and SRT; select the protocol for the key or destination you are using, then use the same protocol in the app. YouTube also documents RTMPS—RTMP encrypted with TLS/SSL—and says to get the RTMPS URL in Live Control Room. Use RTMPS when both the destination and app support it. See YouTube’s encoder settings and the IRL Pro guide.
  3. Enter the complete publish URL in IRL Pro. For RTMP, the publish URL already includes the stream key, so the guide says no separate key field is needed. Keep the key private; replace it if it is exposed.
  4. Match resolution, frame rate, and bitrate to the key’s current limit. IRL Pro’s guide includes plan-specific bitrate caps and example starting points, but limits can change. Check the current dashboard rather than relying on old example figures, and choose settings below the applicable cap.
  5. Connect and check the live status. IRL Pro’s guide describes the app status changing to “Streaming” and a live bitrate card appearing after connection. Confirm the feed is visible in YouTube before testing the continuous-playback behavior you require.

If you change a key’s region or protocol, or rotate the key, the previous URL becomes invalid. Copy the newly issued URL and replace the old one in IRL Pro before reconnecting. IRL Pro explains URL and key handling in its guide.

Validate first, then cut over

  1. Run the new feed while Gyre remains available. Check the YouTube output, intended video and playlist order, audio, metadata, visibility, and the actual resolution and bitrate.
  2. Test the behaviors that matter for your channel: sustained playback, looping, unattended operation, and recovery after the types of interruption you expect. A successful initial connection alone does not establish any of them.
  3. Once the replacement has passed those checks, plan the cutover in YouTube and end the Gyre broadcast only when you are ready to rely on the new setup.

YouTube says live streams under 12 hours are automatically archived. That statement does not establish that a broadcast longer than 12 hours will be archived as a single video. See YouTube’s live stream archive guidance.

Troubleshooting the new connection

  • IRL Pro will not connect: Confirm that the publish URL and key are current, the selected protocol matches the URL, and the full URL was pasted. If you changed the key’s region or protocol, or rotated it, replace the old URL.
  • YouTube does not receive the feed: Check that live streaming is enabled, the correct destination URL and key are configured, and the app is sending rather than merely configured. YouTube’s encoder setup explains the URL-and-key connection.
  • The feed stops when the app or network is interrupted: The available IRL Pro guide does not establish automatic restart or recovery. Confirm the behavior with current vendor guidance and test it; do not count on cloud-style recovery without verification.
  • The stream connects but does not loop prerecorded files: The documented IRL Pro workflow is broadcasting to a publish URL, not a verified continuous playlist player. Confirm looping support before treating the app as a Gyre replacement.
  • Video settings exceed the destination limit: Check the current key or plan cap and lower bitrate, resolution, or frame rate to fit it. The guide’s example caps may no longer apply.
