Start with Alyx’s A Hozen On My Back, then follow Riko’s clues to Serpent’s Overlook in Jade Forest. Use the Torch of Pyrreth on the correct grave marker, approach Gizmo slowly, and return him to Riko. The quest is tied to WoW’s 20th Anniversary Guest Relations content, and current availability in 2026 is not confirmed; check the live game before setting out.
Unlock The Case of the Fur-Getting Wikket
- Find Alyx in the Tanaris celebration area and accept A Hozen On My Back.
- Speak with Riko to complete that quest, then accept The Case of the Fur-Getting Wikket.
The quest is part of the WoW 20th Anniversary / Guest Relations content. Blizzard advertised the celebration for October 22, 2024 through January 6, 2025, but that announcement does not establish whether this quest is accessible or will return in 2026. See Blizzard’s anniversary announcement.
Ask the guests what kind of pet they want
Talk to Riko and Shademaster Kiryn to update the quest journal. Riko is hoping for something cute, such as a raccoon; Kiryn would rather have an undead pet that does not need feeding. Maru can offer an optional hint.
Next, ask Breanni about finding a raccoon. She is in the pet area of the celebration grounds, around 62.35, 49.92. Her story points you toward Gizmo and Sully “The Pickle” McLeary.

Speak with Sully near the Fashion Frenzy stage, around 63.0, 49.4. His account directs you from the stone bridge west of Serpent’s Heart toward Serpent’s Overlook in Jade Forest. The journal identifies the burial place as near Serpent’s Heart.
The bridge is approximately at 42.5, 60.2; the grave markers are near 43.4, 68.7–68.8 at Serpent’s Overlook. Coordinates can vary slightly between references, so use them as a guide rather than exact pinpoints.

- When Gizmo appears, approach him slowly. Running can scare him away.
- Use the roleplay walk action; its commonly shown default key binding is the numpad slash. Click Gizmo once you are close enough.
- Return to Riko and turn in the completed quest.
The quest reference lists a reward of 23 gold, 40 silver, and five Timewarped Badges. It records that patch 11.2.5 changed the currency reward from Bronze Celebration Tokens to Timewarped Badges. Gizmo the Pure is sent by in-game mail about five minutes after completion, rather than being handed over at turn-in. The quest completion line is: “You really horkin’ did it! You da best, wikket!” See the quest reference for the quest details and prerequisite quest reference for the preceding step.
