Spoilers: This guide names story bosses, their reward choices, and later mission routes. In Control Resonant, traversal powers come from Faults, while supernatural combat abilities are rewards for defeating Resonants. The two are separate from Aberrant weapon forms, combo finishers, and passive talents. Some Resonant rewards are mutually exclusive, so you cannot collect every listed branch in one first playthrough.
Traversal abilities: unlock them at Faults
Epic Games Store’s September 23, 2026 guide places these movement powers at specific Faults. Remedy says traversal abilities remain linked to story progression, including in New Game Plus.

Route and effect details in this table are reported by Epic Games Store’s ability guide. For New Game Plus carryover, Remedy lead gameplay designer Sergey Mohov says traversal abilities do not carry over because they remain tied to story progression and how the world unfolds (PlayStation Blog, April 30, 2026).
Resonant abilities: boss rewards and choices
Remedy’s system-level explanation is that defeating a Resonant grants a unique ability, and some Resonants offer branching choices that steer a build toward different playstyles. Remedy also says not everything can be unlocked in one playthrough. The specific names, routes, and effects below are reported by Epic’s guide; they are not a developer-published complete ability list.

The named pairings and effects are Epic’s reported details (Epic Games Store). Remedy independently confirms the branching-reward system and notes that choices support distinct playstyles (PlayStation Blog, March 4, 2026). The route list does not establish that each boss offers all of its listed options simultaneously; treat the listed rewards as choices rather than a set you can necessarily take together.
Sixth ability slot and Resonant Tokens
Epic’s guide reports that a Resonant Token can unlock a combat ability in The Gap, and identifies Pope’s Research in the Unknown sector as one token source. It gives Inferno as an example of a token ability that can pair with an earlier Ignite choice. This is a reported route and example, not a complete official inventory of token locations or abilities.

Weapon forms and combo finishers are a separate progression track
Aberrant weapon forms and finishers are not supernatural combat abilities. Remedy describes weapon forms, supernatural abilities, and talents as distinct progression pillars (PlayStation Blog, March 4, 2026). Epic’s guide reports these weapon choices and counts:

What carries into New Game Plus
Remedy lead gameplay designer Sergey Mohov says supernatural combat abilities and other listed combat progression carry over, but traversal abilities do not. His explanation is that traversal remains tied to story progression. Because Remedy also says some Resonant rewards branch and not everything is available in one playthrough, New Game Plus is relevant for carrying forward combat progress, but it does not turn every first-run branch into a single-run collection.
