The Heroes Battlegrounds Christmas Event was a limited-time in-game event built around King of the Hill, Reverse-Tag and Santa’s Sleigh. Players earned ornaments and presents for Christmas-themed emotes and cosmetics. A community-maintained update log says the event was removed in Update 9.7 on January 12, 2025; it does not establish whether a later update brought it back.
What was the Heroes Battlegrounds Christmas Event?
It was a seasonal event in Heroes Battlegrounds with a Christmas map and three activities. The Heroes Battlegrounds Wiki’s community-maintained update log describes the modes and rewards in its Christmas Event entry, then records the event’s removal in a later update. The history is useful for understanding how the event worked, but it is not an official developer announcement.
King of the Hill
Christmas trees served as capture points around the map. A player or group had to contest a tree area; the update log says a capture took 15 seconds without an opponent contesting it. If multiple players remained when the timer expired, the round went into overtime.
Reverse-Tag
One player carried a gift while the others tried to ragdoll that player and take it. Whoever held the gift when the round ended won presents. In a later Update 9.6 change, the log says presents also began spawning naturally around the map.

Ornaments were the event currency, and their earning values changed over time. The update log records these successive historical settings; they should not be read as current rewards or a single fixed rate:
| Activity | Earlier value | Later value |
|---|---|---|
| Kill | 2 ornaments | 3 ornaments |
| King of the Hill capture | 12 ornaments | 24 ornaments |
| Reverse-Tag win | 12 ornaments | 60 ornaments |
| Santa’s Sleigh present | 4 ornaments | 15 ornaments |
The same chronology says Update 9.6, dated December 17, 2024, reduced the Reverse-Tag winner reward from 60 to 45 ornaments and added 3 ornaments to the present-holder every 15 seconds. Those figures describe successive event settings in 2024, not an active event rate.

Is the Christmas Event still available?
The Heroes Battlegrounds Wiki update log places the Christmas Event under Update 9.5, notes that Update 9.6 arrived on December 17, 2024, and records “Removed Christmas” under Update 9.7, dated January 12, 2025. A separate community NPC reference also labels the Christmas event as removed. These sources document removal, but neither verifies whether a later update reactivated it. Check the live game for current availability.
