Find out where the black screen occurs
Use these checks to narrow down which part of the playback or streaming chain is failing. They are diagnostic suggestions, not a documented IRL Pro troubleshooting procedure.
- Only your screen is black: Try the same video on another browser or device. If it works there, focus on the original device, app, browser, or connection.
- Other YouTube videos are also black on your device: Treat it as a YouTube playback or device-rendering issue and follow the viewer steps below.
- Only the IRL Pro-originated stream or recording is black: Check whether another viewer sees the same thing and whether audio is present. If other YouTube videos play normally, the issue may be in the stream or recording path rather than your player.
- The live stream works but the published recording is black, or vice versa: Note exactly which version fails; this distinction will help the developer investigate.
IRL Pro describes its app as a way to stream to YouTube and other destinations, with features including SRTLA bonding and bitrate adjustment. Its official page does not document black video or a targeted fix for it: IRL Pro.
If the YouTube player is black while you watch
YouTube’s general playback guidance recommends checking your connection and playback quality, restarting the app or device, updating the app or browser, and checking browser extensions. Try these steps in order:

- Check whether the issue is local. Play another YouTube video on the same device, then try the affected video in another browser or on another device. This comparison can help separate a device-specific problem from an issue with the video itself.
- Restart your connection. Reconnect to your network or restart your router if other connection problems are present.
- Lower playback quality. If playback is unstable, select a lower resolution in the YouTube player. YouTube’s approximate recommended sustained speeds are shown below; these are guidelines, not a guarantee that a particular video will play correctly.
- Restart and update. Close and reopen YouTube. If that does not help, restart the device and install any available YouTube app or browser updates.
- Check browser extensions. In a browser, try the video with extensions such as ad blockers disabled. If it then plays, re-enable extensions one at a time to identify a possible conflict.

If video rendering is broken on a computer
If audio plays but the video is black, try another browser first. YouTube’s related green-screen guidance addresses a computer case where the player is green, not a confirmed IRL Pro black-screen issue. For that rendering problem, YouTube recommends trying another browser, disabling Chrome hardware acceleration, and updating the graphics driver.

- Test another browser. If the video displays correctly there, the issue may be specific to the original browser or its settings.
- Turn off Chrome hardware acceleration. In Chrome, open Settings, search for Use hardware acceleration when available, turn it off, and relaunch Chrome. If the setting is already off, this step will not help.
- Check the graphics driver. If the rendering problem persists, look for driver instructions from your computer maker or operating-system provider; the correct steps vary by computer and OS.

If the IRL Pro live stream or uploaded recording is black
First establish whether the problem is visible to other viewers. If unrelated YouTube videos play normally but the IRL Pro-originated video remains black for multiple viewers, contact the developer using the support email listed on the IRL Pro Google Play listing. Include:
- Your phone model and operating-system version
- The IRL Pro app version
- Whether audio is audible while the picture is black
- Whether the issue affects the live stream, the published recording, or both
- Whether other viewers or devices reproduce it, and the steps that lead to the problem
The Play listing provides a developer support contact, but does not publish a black-screen fix. User reviews are anecdotal and do not establish a verified cause.
