That is a recommendation based on testing and features—not a guarantee of better in-game results. If you want a lower-profile option, consider the NuPhy Air60 HE. The Razer Huntsman V3 Pro Mini 8KHz is worth comparing, but it uses analog optical switches, not Hall effect sensing.
Best 60% Hall effect keyboard: Wooting 60HE v2
RTINGS’ 2026 60% roundup names the Wooting 60HE v2 its best-tested 60% keyboard. Its magnetic switches support adjustable actuation and reset, Rapid Trigger, multiple inputs per key, and SOCD. PC Gamer’s February 2026 review also describes Wootility as accessible for setup.
The 60HE v2 is wired-only. Its compact 60% layout saves desk space, but it has no dedicated function row, navigation cluster, or number pad. Accessing those functions means using layers or shortcuts, so consider how often you rely on them before choosing this size.
Do not confuse the 60HE v2 with the older 60HE+. PC Gamer reported review-time prices of $240 for the v2’s pre-assembled aluminum version, $180 for the ABS version, and $155 for the 60HE+. Why choose a Hall effect board—and when to choose another type
Hall effect: adjustable magnetic sensing
Hall effect keyboards detect a key’s movement magnetically. On the Wooting 60HE v2 and NuPhy Air60 HE, the relevant competitive features include adjustable actuation and Rapid Trigger. Rapid Trigger lets a key reset based on its movement rather than waiting for a fixed reset point, which can help players who want tightly controlled repeated inputs. Whether that behavior suits you is a matter of preference and setup; it does not guarantee a measurable performance improvement.

Razer’s optical alternative
The Razer Huntsman V3 Pro Mini 8KHz is a compact competitive option, but its Gen-2 analog optical switches do not make it a Hall effect keyboard. Razer specifies adjustable actuation from 0.1 to 4.0 mm, Rapid Trigger, 8,000 Hz HyperPolling, and a rated life of up to 100 million keystrokes.
Razer reports a 0.48 ms latency result measured from switch actuation to signal receipt at the host USB port. The company says it used 20 measurements with the keyboard set to 0.1 mm actuation and 8,000 Hz polling; end-to-end latency can vary with the test setup and devices. Polling rate is not the whole latency story
An 8,000 Hz polling specification tells you how often a keyboard can report input; it does not, by itself, establish a noticeable in-game advantage over a lower polling rate. In RTINGS’ comparison of the Wooting 60HE v2 and Razer Huntsman V3 Pro Mini 8KHz, the Wooting has a measured latency edge, but RTINGS says that difference is unlikely to be noticeable in-game. Switch behavior, actuation settings, system setup, and the rest of the input chain also shape the experience.
When the Wooting 60HE+ makes sense
The Wooting 60HE+ is a separate model from the v2. Wooting lists Lekker L60 Hall effect switches, analog input, Rapid Trigger, and per-key actuation adjustment in 0.1 mm increments. The company describes the feature as: “Fine-tune each key’s actuation point with 0.1mm precision.” That is Wooting’s product-page wording, not an independent test finding. Wooting 60HE+ product page.
