Photo Mode is now in 007 First Light. IO Interactive added it in free update 1.3.0, released October 1, 2026, so older guides saying the game has no Photo Mode are out of date. The official notes list camera settings, overlays, filters, visual effects, and poses—but do not specify how to open the mode or where its images are saved.
What Photo Mode offers
IO Interactive describes the feature as a way to capture Bond, locations, and action from your angle, with options to adjust the shot. The studio’s version 1.3.0 update notes say, “Freeze the moment and frame the perfect shot.” The official support patch notes also corroborate the update.
- Camera settings: Adjust the camera to compose the image.
- Overlays and filters: Change the appearance or presentation of the shot.
- Visual effects and poses: Apply effects or pose characters where supported.
These are the options named by IO Interactive; the notes do not provide a complete control guide or explain every setting.
How to open Photo Mode and take a screenshot
The official update notes do not state the button sequence for opening Photo Mode on PC, PlayStation 5, or Xbox Series. They also do not say whether taking a picture inside Photo Mode saves an image directly, or whether you must use your platform’s screenshot function. The official notes cover updates for Steam, Microsoft PC, Epic Games Store, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series, but do not give platform-specific Photo Mode instructions.

For the correct controls, check the game’s current in-game control settings or platform-specific instructions for your version. Do not assume that a standard system screenshot shortcut opens Photo Mode: those are separate actions unless the game’s instructions say otherwise.
Where Photo Mode screenshots are saved
IO Interactive’s published notes do not identify a Photo Mode image folder, in-game gallery, or platform-specific destination. The location may depend on whether the image is saved by the game or captured through the platform’s screenshot feature, so there is no confirmed universal save location to give for PC, PS5, or Xbox Series.

If you used a system screenshot command rather than an in-game save option, look for the capture in that platform’s own captures or media area. This is a general distinction, not a confirmed 007 First Light Photo Mode save path.

That claim reflects the game before update 1.3.0. The feature was added in the free update released October 1, 2026; it is not a launch-era feature. IO Interactive described version 1.3.0 as including “over 700 fixes and improvements,” a total for the whole update—not a Photo Mode feature count.
