What you need to know before taking a shot
IO Interactive describes Photo Mode in its October 1, 2026 Update 1.3.0 notes as a way to “Capture Bond, the locations and the action from your own angle.” The feature is part of the free Extended Operations update. Photo Mode frames the image; capturing and sharing it are separate steps.
007 First Light is available on PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. IO Interactive lists Steam, Epic Games Store, and Microsoft Store among the PC storefronts. How to capture and share a screenshot by platform
PC: Steam
- Open Photo Mode in 007 First Light and compose the image.
- Use the screenshot shortcut configured for the Steam Overlay to capture it. Steam documents screenshot support through the overlay, but the shortcut may differ if you changed its settings.
- To check or change the shortcut, open Steam and go to Steam > Settings > In-Game, then review the screenshot settings.
- Open the captured image using Steam’s screenshot interface, then use the sharing or upload option available there or on your chosen service.
Steam’s documentation confirms the overlay screenshot function and its settings location, not a 007 First Light-specific export control, file format, or folder path. (Steam screenshot documentation)

PC: Epic Games Store or Microsoft Store
- Compose the scene in Photo Mode.
- Capture the screen with the screenshot feature configured for your PC or storefront.
- Find the resulting image using that capture tool’s library or save-location settings, then upload it to your chosen platform.
The official materials cited here do not establish a 007 First Light-specific screenshot workflow or save location for Epic or Microsoft Store PC versions. Check the capture tool you use rather than assuming Steam’s instructions or folders apply.
PlayStation 5
- Compose the image in Photo Mode.
- Use the PS5 capture interface to take a screenshot.
- Open the captured image through the console’s capture interface and choose an available sharing or transfer route.
The official game materials confirm the PS5 version and Photo Mode, but do not give the current button sequence, image-export steps, or mobile-app availability. Consult current PlayStation support instructions for exact navigation.

Xbox Series X|S
- Compose the image in Photo Mode.
- Use the Xbox capture interface to take a screenshot.
- Access the image through the console’s capture interface and select an available sharing or transfer route.
The official game materials confirm the Xbox Series X|S version and Photo Mode, but do not document the capture button sequence, upload behavior, retention period, or export path. Check current Xbox support instructions for exact steps.
Where to share your screenshots
IO Interactive welcomes fan art, screenshots, clips, and other creations on community and social platforms. It asks players to tag the official account on the platform where they post so the community team can find the content. IO Interactive lists Discord and Reddit for community discussion, TikTok and Instagram for short-form highlights, and Twitch and YouTube for live or video content. Choose a destination that suits the image and your audience; those channels do not all serve the same purpose or necessarily provide equivalent full-resolution image hosting.
