Start by checking your PC against the game’s published requirements, then identify whether the problem is consistently low frame rate or stutters and dips in particular scenes. Burning Sword: Death Sun is still listed as coming soon on Steam, so its requirements are store-page guidance—not final-release benchmark results. No reviewed source establishes a graphics-setting recipe or a measured hardware upgrade that guarantees better performance.

Steam lists Unreal Engine 5 and the following system requirements. The store page does not specify a target resolution, graphics preset, or frame rate for either tier.

These are the requirements as Steam currently publishes them; the listing does not explain the separate SSD notes beyond the 50 GB available-storage figure. Compare your CPU, GPU, memory, and storage with the corresponding tier rather than treating one component as the whole diagnosis. Diagnose the kind of slowdown you are seeing
Low or unstable frame rate
Record your resolution, graphics preset, and frame rate in a repeatable section of gameplay. If the frame rate stays low across scenes, use the requirements to assess whether the system is below the listed CPU or GPU tiers. Steam does not publish performance targets for those specifications, so they cannot predict a particular FPS result.

Dips or stutter in specific moments
Note whether the issue happens repeatedly in one location or when entering a new area or loading effects. Distinguishing a sustained low frame rate from brief dips can help you compare like with like after a change; those symptoms alone do not establish their cause.
Try a controlled troubleshooting sequence
These are general PC troubleshooting steps, not a verified Burning Sword: Death Sun fix. Change one thing at a time and compare the same scene so you can tell whether a change made a difference.

- Capture a baseline: Note the game build, scene, resolution, preset, frame rate, and whether the problem is constant or intermittent.
- Reduce competing workload: Close unnecessary, resource-intensive background applications, then repeat the same scene.
- Check the installation and driver: Use your platform’s normal file-verification option and the graphics-card vendor’s normal driver tools. Retest before changing game settings.
- Adjust one in-game setting: Change a single setting, then replay the same scene at the same resolution and compare. If it does not help, restore it before testing another setting.
No reviewed source identifies a specific graphics setting as a proven fix for this game, so treat each adjustment as a test rather than a prescribed solution.
What official updates and player reports establish
The official Burning Sword Death Sun Steam Community patch notes for Prologue Demo version 0.3.1.8, dated June 13, 2025, say: “Optimized performance in the waterfall area and during boss battles for a smoother gameplay experience.” The note documents an optimization in those areas but reports no measured FPS change and does not say that all performance problems were resolved. Player discussions from demo builds in 2024 and 2025 mention low or unstable FPS, stuttering, and changes in DLSS behavior. They describe different builds and systems, so they are useful context, not representative benchmarks or proof that the same behavior applies to the current or eventual full game. Use Steam’s minimum and recommended tiers as comparison points for your existing PC. Check the processor and 16 GB memory alongside the GPU, and account for the listed storage capacity and SSD notes. The requirements do not establish the performance uplift from a specific upgrade. For example, the GeForce RTX 3070 is named in Steam’s recommended GPU tier; that does not make it necessary for every player or a guaranteed remedy. Game-specific FPS uplift, current price, and value are unverified.
