If a 007 First Light update is stuck or will not start, first check the current official status and make sure you are following advice for the right platform and symptom. There is no single verified download-queue fix for every console and storefront. On PC, IO Interactive’s recommended first steps are to restart, update Windows and your graphics driver, verify or repair the game files, and disable overlays. These steps target different causes; graphics settings, for example, are for performance problems, not a stalled storefront download.
First, identify what is failing
“Not downloading” can mean an update will not begin, a download is stalled, installation runs out of space, the game will not launch after updating, or the game runs poorly. Note which applies and the platform or storefront—PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, Steam, Epic Games Store, or Microsoft Store/Xbox app—before troubleshooting.
Check the official known-issues page and the latest patch notes. The known-issues page was updated September 17, 2026, listed build 1.2.1, and said there were no major issues to share then. That dated listing is older than the official Update 1.3.0 notes published October 1, 2026, so do not use 1.2.1 as a current-version guarantee. The live status and notes may have changed.
Check the update size and available storage
Update size depends on the specific release and platform. IO Interactive listed these package sizes for Update 1.3.0; they are not a universal free-space requirement for every update or installation:

Those figures describe Update 1.3.0, not how much free space every platform needs to download and install it. For PC, the official requirements specify 80 GB available storage and an SSD. Check your platform’s displayed update requirement and available space rather than assuming the package size alone is enough.
For PC: follow the official troubleshooting order
IO Interactive’s PC guide says to “Start with Try first, it solves most problems quickly.” Its first steps address general update, launch, and file problems. Restart between system or driver updates where indicated.

- Confirm minimum requirements. The official PC requirements list Windows 10/11 64-bit, 16 GB RAM, 80 GB available storage, and an SSD. Minimum CPU examples are Intel Core i5 9500 or AMD Ryzen 5 3500; graphics examples are NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1660, AMD RX 5700, or an Intel discrete equivalent. Consult the official storefront requirements for final details.
- Restart the PC. Then check whether the download or installation proceeds.
- Install pending Windows updates and restart.
- Update the GPU driver and restart. Use the driver appropriate for your graphics hardware.
- Verify or repair the game files in the storefront where you own the game—Steam, Epic Games Store, or Xbox app/Microsoft Store.
- Disable overlays from the storefront, chat apps, capture tools, and GPU utilities, then try again.
Official PC troubleshooting: 007 First Light PC troubleshooting. If the game launches but has performance problems, the guide separately recommends checking that it is installed on an SSD and that the drive has free space; persistently low frame rates may warrant lowering resolution or demanding visual settings. Those graphics changes do not fix a download queue.
If the symptom is network trouble
For disconnections or high ping, the PC guide suggests power-cycling the modem or router, testing an Ethernet connection, disabling a VPN or proxy, and pausing other downloads or streams. These are connection troubleshooting steps, not confirmation that a patch server is available or a guaranteed fix for a download that will not initiate.

The launch information says a one-time internet connection was required to download the Day 1 patch; after that, the full main campaign can be played offline. That does not mean later updates can be downloaded without an internet connection. See the official launch and system-requirements information.
If the game will not launch after an update
For startup trouble on PC, use the restart, Windows and GPU updates, file verification or repair, and overlay checks above. If launch problems remain, IO Interactive also lists trying administrator launch, removing custom launch options, performing a clean boot, and reinstalling as further options. Reinstall is a later resort, not a required response to every failed update.

Console or storefront download still stuck?
The official material does not give one current, storefront-by-storefront procedure for a download that is stuck or will not begin on PlayStation, Xbox, Steam, Epic Games Store, or Microsoft Store. Use the platform’s current download-support guidance for its queue, storage, or error-code steps, and avoid treating generic cache deletion, database rebuilding, router changes, or reinstalling as a verified universal fix. If the platform reports a specific error, preserve its exact wording or code when seeking help.
Contact support with the details that narrow it down
If the issue persists, send 007 First Light Player Support the storefront, country or region, date and time with timezone, exact error text or code, where the process fails, and the troubleshooting steps already attempted. For PC, include CPU, GPU, RAM, Windows version, and a DxDiag report. The official troubleshooting guide explains the requested report and attachment process.

- Open Start and search for dxdiag.
- Open the DirectX Diagnostic Tool and select Save All Information….
- Save the resulting text file and attach it to the support request.
DxDiag can include a PC name and drive names. The support page says it does not include passwords or payment details; review the file and remove information you prefer not to share before sending it.
