Start by identifying what kind of code you have: a standard Epic Games product code, a Fortnite Gift Card, a V-Bucks card, or a code from a specific cosmetic promotion. They use different redemption routes. For a promotion-specific cosmetic code, follow the issuer’s official instructions; there is no single confirmed redemption page or set of terms for every promotion.
Identify the code before you redeem it

A Gift Card adds account balance; it is not itself a V-Bucks card or a direct cosmetic unlock. A V-Bucks card redeems V-Bucks, not an arbitrary outfit code. Epic says older V-Bucks cards may still be available in some regions while Fortnite Gift Cards roll out.
Redeem a standard Epic product code
- Sign in to the Epic account that should receive the game or product.
- In the Epic Games Launcher, open the account name menu and choose Redeem Code. Alternatively, use the code-redemption page on the Epic Games Store website.
- Enter the code and submit it. Epic says a successful redemption message confirms acceptance; game codes appear in the launcher library.
These steps are for standard Epic product codes, not Fortnite Gift Cards or V-Bucks cards, which have separate flows. See Epic’s product-code directions.
Redeem a Fortnite Gift Card
- Go to epicgames.com/redeem and sign in to the Epic account you want to fund.
- Enter the Gift Card code and follow the on-screen steps.
- Before confirming, check that the card currency matches the currency of the Epic account balance.
Epic describes Fortnite Gift Card and V-Bucks card codes as 16 digits on its support page. A Gift Card adds money to Epic account balance rather than directly unlocking a cosmetic. Card eligibility can also depend on country: Epic’s EULA says cards may be restricted to accounts registered in the country for which the card was made. Check the terms for your card and location. Redeem a V-Bucks card, including on console
- Visit fortnite.com/vbuckscard and follow the account and platform selection flow.
- Check the Epic account and in-game display name shown before confirming. If either is wrong, stop and sign in to the intended account before proceeding.
- For PlayStation or Xbox, follow the flow for the platform linked to that Epic account. A secondary code may be required; redeem it through the corresponding Sony or Microsoft account.
Epic’s troubleshooting guidance describes secondary codes as 12 characters for PlayStation and 25 characters for Xbox. If you completed the redemption but cannot find a required console code, Epic says to look in Account Settings → Transactions → V-Bucks Card Redemption. Handle a promotion-specific cosmetic code safely
Use the instructions published by the promotion’s official issuer. Confirm the offer name, eligibility, region, platform or account requirements, and any stated deadline there before entering a code. Do not assume that the Epic product-code page, Gift Card page, or V-Bucks page accepts every cosmetic promotion code; the available official instructions do not establish one universal route or expiration and region policy for all promotions.

Use Epic’s official domain or the promotion issuer’s official site, and avoid pages offering “free skin codes” that ask for Epic credentials. Treat that as prudent account-safety practice, not as a quoted Epic warning. Never post or send your code or password in comments or messages.
If a code is rejected or the reward is missing
V-Bucks card reports “invalid”
- Check that you are on Epic’s official V-Bucks redemption page and re-enter the code carefully.
- If the code is still rejected, Epic says the card may not have been activated at purchase. Contact the retailer that sold it. Epic’s invalid-card troubleshooting.
A console secondary code is missing
Check Account Settings → Transactions → V-Bucks Card Redemption in your Epic account for the code, then follow the console redemption instructions for the linked PlayStation or Xbox account. Epic’s secondary-code help.

A cosmetic promotion code does not work
Return to the offer’s official instructions and check its exact eligibility and entry process. If the issuer identifies a support route, contact that issuer with the details they request; do not share the code or password publicly. The reviewed official guidance does not establish a universal fix for every promotion code.

Epic’s Gift Card redemption page states that the first redemption of a new Fortnite Gift Card grants the GHOST Monks Outfit through December 31, 2026. The offer is limited to one outfit per Epic account and applies only in regions where Gift Cards are sold; older V-Bucks cards do not qualify. Check Epic’s live redemption page for current terms before relying on the offer.
