To run Rainbow Six Siege at Ubisoft’s current minimum target—1080p at 60 FPS—Ubisoft lists a Ryzen 3 3100 or Core i3-8100, 8 GB of RAM, a GTX 1650 4 GB, RX 5500 XT 4 GB, Arc A380 6 GB, or better, plus Windows 10/11 64-bit, DirectX 12, and an SSD with 65 GB available. For higher resolutions or a 4K/120 FPS target, the recommended hardware rises substantially. Compare your PC with the tier you actually want before buying parts.
Current Rainbow Six Siege PC requirements
The configurations below are from Ubisoft’s current System requirements for Rainbow Six Siege support page. Ubisoft gives target resolution, frame rate and settings alongside component examples; these are published specifications, not a guarantee of the same performance on every PC.

Ubisoft also lists Windows 10/11 64-bit and DirectX 12 for the requirements. GPU names in the table are examples of the listed tier, not an exhaustive list of compatible cards.
Which requirement tier should you use?
For a 1080p starting point
Use the minimum row as the comparison point if your goal is Ubisoft’s 1080p/60 FPS minimum target. For the listed High-settings recommendation at the same resolution and frame rate, compare against the separate 1080p recommended row. The minimum tier is not a claim that every settings combination or PC configuration will deliver a fixed frame rate.

For 1440p or 4K
Compare your components with the row for your intended resolution. Ubisoft’s 1440p/60 FPS High and 4K/60 FPS High recommendations list distinct GPUs; the 4K/120 FPS Ultra tier raises the GPU examples and available-storage requirement again. A part meeting the 1080p row should not be treated as meeting the higher-resolution target.
Siege X launch figures are a different dated reference
Ubisoft’s June 4, 2025 Siege X launch announcement described a 1080p High recommendation using the Ryzen 5 3600/Core i5-10400 and RTX 2060/RX 6600/Arc A750 tier, with a 120 FPS target for Core Siege and 60 FPS for Dual Front. It also separated Core Siege and Dual Front targets at 1440p and 2160p. The current Help page instead lists 60 FPS targets for its 1080p, 1440p and 4K High rows, plus a 4K/120 FPS Ultra row. Treat the launch announcement as dated launch-era context rather than combining its targets with the current Help-page table.

How to decide what to upgrade
- Choose a target row. Decide your resolution, frame-rate target and settings tier, then use that matching row in the table rather than shopping from the minimum alone.
- Check your installed hardware. Identify your CPU, exact GPU model and its video memory, RAM capacity, Windows version, DirectX support, storage type and free space. Compare each item against the selected Ubisoft tier.
- Upgrade only the component that misses a stated requirement. A GPU below the selected row may call for a graphics-card upgrade; RAM below that row may call for more memory. Check motherboard, power supply, case clearance and memory compatibility before choosing replacement parts.
- Confirm the PC supports the replacement. Requirements do not determine compatibility with your particular motherboard, power supply, case, or laptop. Verify the part and interface against your system’s specifications before purchasing.
These requirements name target configurations but do not establish the frame rate a particular build will produce. They also do not identify the best-value upgrade or prove that a specific system is CPU- or GPU-limited.
Does Rainbow Six Siege require an SSD?
Yes. Ubisoft explicitly requires SSD storage. The listed available space is 65 GB for the minimum and most recommended tiers, and 110 GB for the 4K/120 FPS Ultra tier. Ubisoft does not specify NVMe, so the requirement does not make NVMe mandatory. If your PC relies only on a hard drive, check which SSD form factor and interface your system supports before buying one, and ensure the required capacity is free.

RAM, CPU and GPU: what the lists mean
RAM
The minimum lists 8 GB; every recommended row lists 16 GB. Check the amount installed and confirm what memory type and capacity your PC supports before adding or replacing modules.
CPU
Ubisoft lists specific AMD and Intel processor examples for each target. Compare your exact processor with the relevant row; the published list alone cannot diagnose a bottleneck in an individual system.

GPU, including laptop graphics
Use the GPU row for the resolution and performance target you want. Ubisoft notes that laptop video-card models may work if their performance is similar to the minimum requirements. That is a general qualification, not a guarantee for every laptop GPU; desktop and laptop cards with similar names should not be assumed to perform alike.
