Yes. Pearl Abyss delayed Charting the Unknown, the first announced Crimson Desert DLC, by two weeks. Its revised release date is October 29, 2026, so as of October 4 the DLC is not yet available; it cannot be considered missing after release. If you are looking for another item, or the DLC does not appear after launch, check the release time, store and region first, then work through the troubleshooting steps below.
When does Charting the Unknown release?
Pearl Abyss announced the two-week delay on September 30, 2026. The developer said it needed more time to deliver a more polished and stable experience, but did not give a more detailed technical reason. Its regional schedule is:
| Region | Release time |
|---|---|
| Europe | 22:00 UTC on October 29, 2026 |
| North America | 15:00 PT / 18:00 ET on October 29, 2026 |
| Korea and Japan | 07:00 KST/JST on October 30, 2026 |
Use Pearl Abyss’s release-date update for the revised date and launch schedule. The October 30 date in Korea and Japan reflects the local time rolling over from October 29 elsewhere.
Why is the Crimson Desert DLC missing?
As of October 4, the announced DLC has not reached its revised release date. Before treating it as a technical problem, confirm that the relevant release time has passed in your region. Also check that the DLC is offered for your storefront and market: Pearl Abyss lists PlayStation Store, Steam, Epic Games Store, and Microsoft Store for the rollout, says Mac App Store availability will not begin at launch, and warns that the DLC will be unavailable in some markets. The notice does not identify every affected region, so check the current official preorder and availability notice and your own store listing.

Steam also lists Charting the Unknown as downloadable content for Crimson Desert with an October 29, 2026 date. This corroborates the date, while Pearl Abyss’s notice is the source for the regional schedule and reason for the delay. See the Steam DLC listing.
What to check if the DLC does not appear after release
1. Confirm the release time, platform, and region
Check whether the scheduled local release time has passed, then compare your storefront and market with Pearl Abyss’s availability notice. A store not offering the DLC in your region is different from an installed game failing to recognize purchased content.

Sign in to the account that bought the DLC and review the store’s purchase history or transaction status. If the store shows a completed purchase but the game does not grant access, Pearl Abyss’s published guidance does not provide a universal entitlement-repair procedure. Contact the support team for the platform where you purchased it about the transaction or account entitlement.
3. Update the game and check known issues
Pearl Abyss advises checking its Known Issues notice and FAQ, and making sure the game is updated to the latest version. The current steps and support guidance are on the Pearl Abyss support page.

Preorders, bonuses, and availability caveats
Pearl Abyss’s notice names PlayStation Store, Steam, Epic Games Store, and Microsoft Store for the preorder rollout. It also describes a preorder bonus: the Charter’s Diving Set for Kliff and Oongka, and the Charter’s Light Diving Set for Damiane. The notice does not establish that preorders or the bonus remain available now, so check the live listing for your platform rather than assuming eligibility.
Pearl Abyss says the DLC will not be available on Mac App Store at launch and that some markets will not receive it following content and age-rating review. For affected preorders, refunds may be automatic or may need to be requested through the platform’s normal process. Check the official notice and your storefront for region-specific details.
