ARC Raiders’ announced free-play event runs October 8, 2026, at 09:00 UTC through October 12 at 08:00 UTC on Steam, Xbox, and PlayStation, with access to the full game. Cross-platform social play is supported, and cross-progression uses an Embark ID. Embark has not said whether progress made during the event will remain available after it ends.
When is ARC Raiders free to play, and what is included?
Embark’s October 2, 2026 announcement schedules free play from October 8 at 09:00 UTC to October 12 at 08:00 UTC on Steam, Xbox, and PlayStation. The event is upcoming as of October 4, 2026. It grants access to the full game, rather than a limited demo. Read Embark’s event announcement.
The event coincides with Frozen Trail. New players can access Pendola Pass if they join a team with players who have already unlocked it; the announcement does not describe this as an automatic map unlock for every newcomer.
What happens after the free-play event ends?
Embark describes the event as a chance to try the game before buying, but its announcement does not explain whether event-earned progress carries over after October 12. That means carryover is unconfirmed: there is no basis to promise that progress will transfer, nor to claim that it will be wiped.

What is an Embark ID, and how should I link accounts?
An Embark ID is the account used to connect your game identity across supported platforms. Progress and cosmetics are tied to the Embark ID, not simply to whichever platform account you happen to be using. If you are adding a platform, link that platform account to the existing Embark ID you intend to keep.
- Sign in to the Embark ID you want to use for ARC Raiders.
- Link the account for the additional platform to that Embark ID. Embark allows one account per platform for Steam, PlayStation, Xbox, Epic Games, Discord, and Twitch.
- Before unlinking or relinking accounts, check which Embark ID currently holds your progress and cosmetics. Linking a platform account to a different Embark ID does not transfer the old account’s progress, earned rewards, or cosmetics.
Embark also warns that purchased items may remain tied to the platform where they were bought. Unlinking every third-party game account permanently deletes the Embark ID and its ARC Raiders and THE FINALS progress and cosmetics. Read Embark’s account-linking guidance.
