Then use the software and connection path for that model, check Dolby Access and your Atmos entitlement, and test with Atmos-capable content. A50 models do not all use the same setup.
1. Identify your A50 model and platform version
Check the headset, base station, product box, or purchase listing for the model and whether it is the Xbox or PlayStation version. This matters especially for A50 Gen 4: Logitech lists the Xbox version for Xbox Series X|S and PC/Mac, and the PlayStation version for PS4 and PC/Mac. The included two-year Dolby Atmos activation offer is described for the Xbox version only, not as a universal A50 entitlement. Logitech’s A50 Gen 4 product page has the model details.
If you have an A50 X, follow its own connection instructions rather than applying Gen 4 steps. Logitech describes Xbox Atmos over HDMI 2.1, PC/Mac Atmos or Windows Sonic over USB-C, and PS5 3D Audio. Those are distinct platform paths and formats. See Logitech’s A50 X product information.
2. Use software for your generation
Install the software Logitech lists for your specific A50 model. Using the wrong utility can send you looking for settings that are not part of that generation’s setup.

Use Logitech’s Astro Series Software & Download page for the current software routes. Do not assume G HUB is the correct configuration app for Gen 4 just because newer A50 models use it.
3. Set up Dolby Access and check the entitlement
Dolby directs Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and Windows 10/11 PC users to Dolby Access for headphone Atmos setup. Its A50 compatibility page identifies the Xbox A50 as Atmos-compatible on those platforms and points users to the app. Check Dolby’s A50 compatibility guidance.

- On the Xbox or Windows PC where you use the headset, open the Microsoft Store and install or launch Dolby Access.
- Follow Dolby Access’s prompts to set up Dolby Atmos for Headphones and select the appropriate audio device or output mode offered for your platform.
- If the app asks you to buy or activate Atmos, verify that your headset is the Xbox variant and check the account and entitlement associated with the setup. Logitech describes a two-year activation code for Xbox A50 Gen 4, but that offer does not establish that every unit—particularly a used or refurbished one—has an unused code.
Dolby’s Xbox guidance says: “Download the Dolby Access app on your Xbox console to start your free trial of Dolby Atmos for Headphones, set up a Dolby-enabled device or adjust audio and image settings.” See Dolby’s Xbox guidance. If an entitlement prompt persists after checking the variant and account, contact Dolby or Microsoft support; license behavior for every previously redeemed or migrated account is not established in the cited compatibility information.
4. Confirm the selected output and test Atmos content
A working headset alone does not prove that Atmos is active. Dolby’s setup guidance says you need a playback device that supports Atmos, Atmos output enabled, connected audio hardware, and content encoded in Atmos. The exact settings vary by device, so use the instructions for your specific Xbox or Windows version rather than relying on one universal menu sequence. Read Dolby’s Atmos setup guide.

- Check that the A50 is connected and selected as the audio output on the device you are using.
- Confirm that Dolby Atmos for Headphones is selected or enabled in the relevant audio settings after Dolby Access setup.
- Test with a game, film, or other playback source that actually provides Dolby Atmos audio. Stereo content may play normally without demonstrating Atmos.
If Atmos works with suitable content but not with a particular game or app, check that title’s audio options and supported formats. An incorrect output selection or non-Atmos content can make Atmos seem unavailable without indicating a headset fault.
5. Keep the connection path specific to A50 X
For A50 X, Logitech identifies different audio routes by platform: Xbox connects through HDMI 2.1 for Dolby Atmos spatial audio; PC/Mac uses USB-C and supports Dolby Atmos or Windows Sonic; PS5 uses 3D Audio. Do not treat PS5 3D Audio as Dolby Atmos or use the Xbox connection instructions for the PS5 setup. Logitech’s A50 X page describes these platform paths.

6. When to contact Logitech support
If the correct software, Dolby Access setup, output selection, connection path, and Atmos-capable content still do not resolve the issue, use Logitech support for the exact headset and base-station model. The available product and software pages establish model compatibility and software paths, but do not provide one verified Atmos-specific hard-reset or firmware-recovery sequence for every generation. Avoid trying button combinations or firmware recovery steps intended for another A50 model.
