What is known about missed collectibles
Gears of War: E-Day has collectibles found while exploring its campaign, and collected items can be browsed through menus, according to Windows Central’s review-in-progress. That coverage does not establish what happens when an item is missed.
A reported Xbox achievement, “Memories From E-Day,” requires finding all campaign collectibles on any difficulty, according to an October 3, 2026 report. That requirement describes the completion goal; it does not explain whether a missed item can be collected later. The report attributes the wording to Xbox’s listing, which was not independently verified here.
Can you replay a chapter to get a missed item?
That remains unverified. Available reporting does not confirm whether completed acts or chapters can be replayed, or whether collecting an item during a replay updates the persistent campaign tracker or achievement. The Coalition’s July 31, 2026 gameplay update discusses campaign exploration and gameplay systems but does not document collectible recovery rules.

There is no established version number or patch note in the available sources that resolves this mechanic, so do not assume the answer is the same across platforms or updates.
What to check before doing anything drastic
- Open the in-game Campaign menu and see whether it offers act or chapter selection.
- Check the collectible tracker or journal to identify what is missing and whether the game itself indicates a way to recover it.
- If replay is offered, do not assume a replay pickup will persist or count toward the achievement unless the game confirms it.
- Avoid restarting or overwriting a save on the assumption that replay will fix the miss. The available sources do not establish save behavior.
- If the interface gives no clear answer, consult current game-specific support or wait for reliable confirmation rather than treating replay as guaranteed.
Release timing does not confirm recovery rules
Xbox Wire’s June 8, 2026 Collector’s Edition announcement gives October 1, 2026 for early access and October 6, 2026 for the global release. Those dates provide release context only; the announcement does not describe chapter replay, saves, or collectible persistence.
