Act 1 has 13 collectibles across four chapters: 3 in “Emergence,” 4 in “Survival of the Fittest,” 2 in “A Gear in Need,” and 4 in “Back in the Fold.” Follow the checklist in chapter order and search each landmark before moving on. The locations below are based on overlapping directions from three guides; a few exact item names and micro-locations differ between them.
Chapter 1: Emergence — 3 collectibles
- Monster Jaw (also called Monster Claw): After the first enemy encounter, search the nearby street around the news kiosk. One guide places it on an enemy corpse after the melee fight; others describe the kiosk area more generally. Check before following the next objective. DayOne, iTechGuides, Showgamer.
- Bloody Transit Worker’s Helmet: After entering the maintenance tunnels, check the room or opening on the left. Look near the body or lockers. DayOne, iTechGuides, Showgamer.
- Front Page of the Kalona Times (spelled “Kelona” in one guide): After helping the civilian trapped under rubble, cross the street to the cafe or bakery and search its kitchen, counter, and back area. DayOne, iTechGuides, Showgamer.
Chapter 2: Survival of the Fittest — 4 collectibles
- KPD Police Bulletin: In the police station’s first room or bullpen, inspect the desk or table on the left before going farther inside. DayOne, iTechGuides, Showgamer.
- Bloodied Police Chief’s Badge: In the room where the police chief’s body is pinned to the wall, look beside or below the body. DayOne, iTechGuides, Showgamer.
- Army Recruitment Pamphlet: In the Gears recruitment center, search the back wall and reception desk area, around the medals or COG display. DayOne, iTechGuides, Showgamer.
- Try On Pilot Helmet: Inspect the helmet display in the same recruitment center, near the pamphlet. One guide identifies a helmet in the row. The guides vary on the order of these two collectibles, so check both locations before leaving. DayOne, iTechGuides, Showgamer.
Chapter 3: A Gear in Need — 2 collectibles
- Tomatoes, Canned: In the Pay and Save supermarket’s first or warehouse area, search along the left side, including boxes and a cardboard tray on the floor. DayOne, iTechGuides, Showgamer.
- Broken Lancer Bayonet: After the Tai sequence in the supermarket, search the Locust bodies near the produce sign and store exit before leaving. One guide places it on the body to the right of the produce sign when facing the exit; the other descriptions are less precise. DayOne, iTechGuides, Showgamer.
Chapter 4: Back in the Fold — 4 collectibles
- Front-page of the Tyrant Chronicle: At the chapter start, use the large “lounge” sign as a landmark and search the adjacent alley. DayOne, iTechGuides, Showgamer.
- Anti-UIR Propaganda Poster: On the route toward the clinic, turn right into the nearby alley and inspect the wall. DayOne, iTechGuides, Showgamer.
- Landa Memorial Medical Supplies: Inside the clinic, check the table in the room with the exit doors before opening them. DayOne, iTechGuides, Showgamer.
- COG tags of Private Brick Rosso: After fighting out of the clinic, check behind a police car near the body. DayOne, iTechGuides, Showgamer.
Finishing a missed collectible
Keep to the chapter order and do a quick search at each listed landmark before advancing the objective. If an item is missing from your tally, DayOne reports that you can start a new save at a selected chapter, which can help with cleanup. The in-game collectible progress display, if available in your build, can serve as a final count check. Showgamer also reports a slight controller vibration and a quiet Gears melody near collectibles; treat those as backup cues rather than relying on them during combat.
