To check a Steam hardware reservation or order, sign in to Steam Support and open Purchases. For a parcel that has shipped, use the carrier and tracking details in your shipment confirmation email; parcel tracking does not tell you whether an unshipped reservation is still pending.
Check the reservation or order in Steam Support
- Go to Steam Support and sign in to the Steam account used for the reservation or purchase.
- Choose Purchases from the support options and look for the relevant hardware record. Steam Support requires sign-in to review purchases and provide personalized help.
- If you cannot find the record or need help understanding an account or payment issue, use the relevant purchase help option or the Steam Support hardware section, which includes Steam Deck support.
Valve’s public support pages do not document a universal set of reservation-status labels, a current reservation queue, or an estimated availability date for an individual reservation. Use the account-specific purchase record or ask Steam Support rather than relying on an assumed label or timeline.
Use carrier tracking only after shipment
Order or reservation status and parcel tracking answer different questions. Check Purchases to see the account’s order record; once Valve dispatches the hardware, check the shipment confirmation email for the carrier and tracking number. Valve states: “Your order’s carrier and tracking information will be included in your shipment confirmation email.” Read Valve’s hardware shipping FAQ.
If you have no shipment confirmation, a carrier tracking page will not establish whether the reservation has shipped. Check the Steam account record first, then contact Steam Support if the record is missing or there is a delivery problem.

Know when an order can still be changed
Valve’s hardware shipping FAQ says an order can be modified or cancelled through the Help Site within 24 hours. After that window, the order is allocated for shipment and can no longer be changed or cancelled. If you want a refund after shipment, Valve directs you to request it through the Help Site after delivery. These rules concern an order’s shipment and change window; they are not a reservation-status lookup method.
When Steam Support is the right next step
- The reservation or order is missing: confirm you are signed in to the account used for it, check Purchases, and contact Steam Support if it still does not appear.
- There is a payment concern: use the purchase support options or Steam Support; Valve’s shipping FAQ directs users with payment issues to Steam Support.
- The shipment is late or tracking is problematic: check the shipment email for the carrier details, then contact Steam Support about delivery issues.
