The Legend of Zelda: Majora’s Mask icon elements were part of a Nintendo Switch Online promotion in November 2022. The available information does not confirm a new 2026 release or that those elements can still be claimed. To see what is available now, check Missions & Rewards on your Switch or Switch 2.
Are the Majora’s Mask icons still available?
The Majora’s Mask icons were included in a Nintendo 64-themed promotion reported on November 3, 2022. Nintendo of America’s post, as quoted in that report, said the featured elements would refresh weekly through December 6, 2022. That was a time-limited promotion, not confirmation of current availability. NintendoSoup’s report describes the historical offer.
Nintendo’s more recent rewards announcements do not establish that Majora’s Mask elements have returned. Its September 2026 roundup, for example, featured Fire Emblem: Fortune’s Weave icons with an end date of October 14 at 5:59 p.m. PT, and directs players to the console’s Missions & Rewards panel to see the available rewards. How to check and redeem icon elements
- Make sure your console is updated and connected to the internet.
- From the HOME Menu, open Nintendo Switch Online and select your user.
- Choose Missions & Rewards and browse the available game elements.
- If a Majora’s Mask element appears, redeem it with Platinum Points, then open Icon Collection to assemble your icon.
Nintendo’s support instructions for creating and using a custom icon explain the console workflow. Icon elements come in three types: Character, Background, and Frame. Some generic backgrounds and frames may be available without spending points; game-specific elements may require points. Check the displayed cost and instructions for each item.

Membership and Platinum Points requirements
Nintendo Support says an active, paid Nintendo Switch Online membership is required to redeem icon elements. Platinum Points come from My Nintendo missions. Some missions have a collection deadline, and Nintendo says points may not be granted if they are not collected within the stated timeframe; follow the mission details shown on your account.
If you redeem an element while eligible, Nintendo says it remains in your Icon Collection even if your membership later expires. The historical 2022 report used Expansion Pack wording for that promotion, but Nintendo Support’s current general instructions specify an active paid membership. Do not assume a particular membership tier is required for an element unless the current console listing says so.

What if no Majora’s Mask elements appear?
If the game elements are absent from Missions & Rewards, the console is not currently offering them to your account. Nintendo refreshes rewards weekly and changes themes, so an item that appeared in an earlier promotion may not be claimable now. You can still browse the current rewards and use any elements already saved in Icon Collection.
Nintendo describes Missions & Rewards and icon elements in its overview of Nintendo Switch Online missions and rewards. Reward selections change over time; the console panel is the practical place to confirm what can be redeemed.
