These systems are not interchangeable. Check the code’s instructions before entering it; the Embark ID steps below are verified for Subway’s promotion, not for every partner code.
Identify the code’s issuer and destination first
Look at the code email, card, promotion terms, or retailer instructions. Find the named platform or account, then use that service’s redemption flow. A code that is valid for one service may fail on another, and Steam specifically warns that a key not intended for Steam can return an invalid-product-code error.

Redeem a Steam product key
- Sign in to the Steam client using the account where you want the game or content registered.
- Open Games > Activate a Product on Steam.
- Follow the on-screen instructions and enter the key when prompted. Steam’s guide covers generic product-key activation, not an ARC Raiders-specific promotion: Steam product activation instructions.
Use this route only if the code issuer says the key is for Steam. Steam’s additional retail-key support guidance explains that keys must be intended for Steam registration.
Redeem an Arc Games code
Arc Games’ general instructions use an Arc account and client. Its redemption page requires you to sign in to an Arc account: Arc Games code-redemption page.

- Launch the Arc client and sign in.
- Choose Arc > Activate a Product.
- Enter the item code, select Next, and follow any remaining prompts.
- Collect the item in-game if the code grants an item or pack.
Arc notes that some packs purchased through Steam must be redeemed another way. That warning applies to some packs, not all Steam content, so follow the specific code or pack instructions. See Arc Games’ code-redemption support article.
Redeem a partner code through Embark ID
Use this browser route when the promotion’s own terms direct you to Embark ID. For example, Subway’s ARC Raiders promotion specifies these steps:

- Open Embark ID in a browser and sign in.
- Go to Settings > Redeem Code.
- Enter the code and confirm.
- Launch ARC Raiders to access the content.
Subway’s terms require an Embark ID and an ARC Raiders game license, and allow up to 24 hours for content to appear. These instructions are campaign-specific; they do not establish a universal Embark redemption process. Read the Subway promotion terms for the conditions attached to that code.
Subway’s 2026 U.S. promotion: dates and limits
Subway’s published offer describes qualifying meal purchases at participating U.S. restaurants, with opt-in required and one ARC Raiders code per order. The offer period is August 20–October 26, 2026, or while supplies last; codes must be redeemed by November 10, 2026. Subway says the game license is purchased separately and codes are single-use. Its offer page states an allocation of 2.5 million codes; that is the campaign’s stated quantity, not a count of codes still available. Check the campaign page and terms for current availability and eligibility.

Check your Embark ID before changing linked accounts
An Embark ID stores gear, progress, and cosmetics and supports linking accounts on Steam, Epic Games, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S. You can create an ID when first launching the game or link an existing one. Embark’s account guide explains account creation and linking.
Before linking or unlinking, confirm which platform account is connected to the Embark ID you intend to use. Embark documents one account per listed platform, and says a platform account already associated with another Embark ID may not be merged. Progress, earned rewards, and cosmetics are tied to the Embark ID; purchases made with real money remain tied to the original platform.

Embark says the first platform account linked is permanent unless Customer Support removes it. Unlinking every third-party game account permanently deletes the Embark ID and its associated progress and cosmetics. Review Embark’s account-management guidance before making changes; creating another ID or unlinking accounts is not a safe first troubleshooting step.

If the code does not work
- Wrong destination: Recheck the issuer’s instructions and the stated platform. Do not try a Steam key in Arc or an Embark promotion code in Steam unless its terms say to.
- Invalid Steam key: Confirm that the key was issued for Steam registration. Steam’s activation flow is for Steam keys, not codes intended for another service.
- Already used or out of date: Check whether the code has already been redeemed and whether the promotion remains valid. Campaign codes can have deadlines and limited supply.
- Content not visible yet: Follow the promotion’s timing guidance. Subway’s terms, for example, allow up to 24 hours.
- Account mismatch: Confirm that the intended platform account is linked to the Embark ID you are using. Avoid unlinking accounts without checking Embark’s account rules.
- Still stuck: For Arc code problems, use Arc Games support. For ARC Raiders account-linking issues, consult Embark’s account help.
