If Jin Sakai is missing from Ghost of Yōtei’s Most Wanted character selection, he may simply still be locked. Atsu is the mode’s starting character, and PlayStation says players unlock additional characters through progression, spending Mon between runs. First confirm you have access to Most Wanted, then earn Mon and check the character-unlock options shown in your game. Official sources do not specify Jin’s exact cost, a required number of runs, or a fixed unlock order.
Check that your edition includes Most Wanted
Most Wanted is part of Ghost of Yōtei Complete Edition. If you own the base game, PlayStation says access is available through the Complete Edition Upgrade. Check the edition or upgrade entitlement on the account you use to play, and confirm the regional store listing matches what you own. A base-game listing alone does not establish that you have access to the mode.
PlayStation announced the mode with patch v2.0, giving October 1, 2026 as the global timing and October 2 for some territories, including Asia, Australia, and New Zealand. Those are launch dates, not proof that your account currently has the entitlement or that the patch is installed; check your store entitlement and installed game version.
Why Jin may not be listed yet
Most Wanted is a single-player roguelike mode where players choose increasingly difficult bounties, complete runs, and earn perks and upgrades. PlayStation lists four playable characters: Atsu, Oyuki, Nagato, and Jin. Atsu is the starting character; the other characters unlock through progression.

Sucker Punch Senior Communications Manager Andrew Goldfarb said players “earn Mon as you play, which you can spend outside of runs to unlock new techniques, weapon upgrades, charms, and character unlocks.” In other words, seeing Atsu but not Jin early on can be normal progression rather than a malfunction.
How to check for Jin’s unlock
- Open Most Wanted and complete runs to earn Mon.
- After a run, inspect the character-unlock options available between runs.
- Use the cost displayed in your game to unlock characters as they become available. Do not rely on a supposed universal Mon threshold or run count: PlayStation has not published Jin’s exact cost or a fixed unlock sequence.
- Return to character selection and check whether Jin is now available.
Jin’s official kit includes a katana and the four stances from Ghost of Tsushima, Sticky Bombs and a hankyu, Dance of Wrath as his Ultimate, and Ghost Stance as his Kill Streak. Those details can help identify Jin’s entry once it appears; they do not establish when or how much it costs to unlock him.
If Jin is still missing after you meet the in-game condition
If the game indicates that Jin should be available but he remains absent, the official sources reviewed do not identify a Jin-specific bug or a confirmed fix for it. Check current official PlayStation or Sucker Punch support information and official patch notices for a remedy, or contact official support with your platform, game version, region, and the unlock status shown in-game. Treat unverified community workarounds as unconfirmed rather than guaranteed fixes.
