Yes. NVIDIA now lists the GeForce RTX 5070 Ti with 8,960 CUDA cores. When that number first appeared in a November 21, 2024 report, however, it was an unconfirmed rumor attributed to leaker Kopite7kimi—not an official specification.
What the original RTX 5070 Ti rumor claimed
On November 21, 2024, Tom’s Hardware reported that Kopite7kimi had claimed via VideoCardz that the RTX 5070 Ti would have 8,960 CUDA cores and a 300 W TDP. The report described both figures as purported, so they should be understood as speculation at that point, not as specifications confirmed by NVIDIA. Tom’s Hardware’s original rumor report.
NVIDIA has since confirmed 8,960 CUDA cores
NVIDIA’s current RTX 5070 family specifications list 8,960 CUDA cores for the RTX 5070 Ti. PNY’s product listings also specify 8,960 CUDA cores for its RTX 5070 Ti models, providing confirmation from a board partner. PNY’s RTX 5070 Ti listings.
That later confirmation does not make the original rumor official retroactively: the distinction is that the figure was unconfirmed when reported and is now part of NVIDIA’s published specification.

These are NVIDIA’s reference specifications, not a guarantee that every partner card has identical details. NVIDIA notes that add-in-card specifications and dimensions can vary by manufacturer, so check the exact model’s listing before planning case fit or power connections. The 750 W system-power figure is NVIDIA’s stated requirement for its reference specification; it is not a complete assessment of every build’s power needs.

What the core count does—and does not—tell you
The 8,960 figure answers how many CUDA cores NVIDIA lists, but it does not establish how fast the card will perform in a particular game or workload. The available sources do not provide independent benchmark results, so performance comparisons should rely on testing at the resolution and in the applications that matter to you, rather than on core count alone.
There is also a terminology difference in the power claims: the 2024 rumor report called the alleged 300 W figure “TDP,” while NVIDIA’s current page labels its official 300 W specification “Total Graphics Power.” Treat NVIDIA’s current label as the official specification.
