The spangram is BROADWAY. The six theme words are WICKED, CATS, CAROUSEL, HAIRSPRAY, CABARET, and GREASE.
How the Strands hints work
Strands uses a 6-by-8 letter grid. Words are formed by tracing adjacent letters vertically, horizontally, or diagonally, and a path can change direction. Theme words turn blue when found; the spangram turns yellow. Finding three valid words of at least four letters that are not theme answers unlocks a hint highlighting the letters of one theme word.
The spangram names the puzzle’s shared theme; the other theme words are examples of it. For April 3, BROADWAY connects the six musical titles above.
