Local app and browser resets do not reset your Roblox account.
Choose the reset that matches the problem

Reset local Roblox preferences on Mac
Roblox Support’s Mac troubleshooting instructions say to open Finder’s Library > Preferences and delete the Roblox com files. When you launch Player or Studio again, Roblox reinstalls the files. This is a local preferences reset; it does not reset account preferences or settings inside individual experiences. The support instructions do not specify which individual preferences are stored in each file. See Roblox’s Mac troubleshooting guide.
Clear local app data on Windows
Roblox describes this route in its Error Code 280 troubleshooting, so use it for a Windows app problem rather than as an account-wide reset. Removing the local folder clears stored app data; it does not change account preferences saved by Roblox.
- Uninstall Roblox.
- Open File Explorer and go to
%localappdata%(the Windows AppDataLocal folder). - Delete the Roblox folder there.
- Restart the computer.
- Download and reinstall Roblox.
Roblox gives this sequence in its Error Code 280 guidance. For other technical issues, its reinstallation instructions also recommend restarting before reinstalling.

Fix Roblox.com problems in your browser
If the website is loading incorrectly or displaying badly, clear temporary internet files and cookies in the browser you use for Roblox, then restart the computer. This clears browser data and can sign you out; it does not reset Roblox account preferences. Follow the browser-specific steps in Roblox’s General Website Issues guide.
Refresh the Roblox mobile session
For Robux that are missing from view or home-screen options that do not respond, Roblox recommends logging out and back in. The steps differ between Android and iOS; use the platform instructions in Mobile: Logging In and Out. Signing out refreshes the session, but it is not a complete settings reset.

Change account preferences individually
Roblox account settings include individual controls such as language, app theme, and online status and visibility. Adjust the relevant control in Account Settings; the reviewed support guidance does not provide a single control to restore all account preferences to their original values.
Account location is separate from these controls. Roblox says it detects location automatically from device signals, and that it can affect default settings and the app version. After moving, allow the system time to update; do not try to spoof location as a reset method. Details are in Roblox’s Account Location guidance.

If you mean resetting a forgotten password
Password recovery is separate from resetting app settings. Use the email address or phone number associated with the account. If you cannot access either, contact Roblox Support and be prepared to verify ownership. See I Forgot My Password.
